- Here's another vintage IU basketball game, this time involving the Hoosiers' cross-river rivals. Rick Pitino is in his second year at the helm of the Wildcats, who are still on NCAA probation but have started building up the recruiting classes that would lead them to the final four two years later. Meanwhile, IU and Bob Knight have done some reloading of their own, featuring a sophomore-dominated lineup which contains the great Cheaney/Graham/Reynolds class. Dick Vitale and Ron Franklin have the call for this contest on ESPN.
