Yes, as citizens, we have the final say. We don't have a lack of protesting, we have a lack of morale compass. We are divided as a nation for a reason. We have lost our way. There are very valid reasons for the 1st 10 amendments, the Bill of Rights. The debt and deficit are a real problem. And the other issues.
But when groups push agendas against the will and wishes of half the population, without considering their views, we will get nowhere.
A moral compass has lacked since the nation's inception, but we've slowly strived to better the union. Those days haven't existed since Kennedy was assassinated. It's been a divide like no other since then which has reached its peak in the past 13 years or so.

You had a great reaction. However I had a huge issue with what u said about Germany. They let 100s of thousands of other people into their country. And crime and rape have skyrocketed and it was protested. Also every conservative protest in this country is shut down or not spoken about in the media. Minors on an island is reference to Epstein.

I have to disagree with your statement that there's nothing we can do about inflation (and the economy). The problem is that Americans used to vote in their own self-interests and now, with political division so strong, Americans vote for "their side".
The last time we were ravaged by inflation like this was during the Jimmy Carter years in the late 1970's. That was the era of double-digit inflation, double-digit unemployment, and double-digit interest rates...the so called "misery index." Although Carter was considered a "nice guy" and was personally popular, he was defeated for re-election because of the economy. Likewise, in the late 1980s George Bush senior was president and he was respected and well-liked, especially after defeating Saddam Hussein who had invaded neighboring Kuwait. But, he too did not survive re-election and the major slogan that was used to defeat him was "it's the economy, stupid." Americans voted for their financial interests.
Nowadays, Americans vote to defeat the other side and they seem to not care about anything else. Protesting in the streets was always a liberal/left thing (conservatives don't protest), but voting for economic interest was universal and it generally produced far more change than simply protesting. Conversely, Europeans (especially the French) protest *everything* but they generally vote for the status quo.
This song, and the reaction to it, may finally signal that the tide is turning back toward Americans voting for their own interests over politics. We'll see.
