As pointed out by one of the guys involved creating this awesome demo, this recording is bugged!
So I created a new BUGFREE recording. I pushed the source bitrate a lot and recorded in 1080p! You can find the new version here:

This is a high definition version of "Chaos Theory" by Conspiracy made for the Assembly in 2006. It is a stunning display of what can be squeezed into 64kb of code and then be unleashed onto a screen by the power of modern computers in realtime.

I don't know how many times I've listened to this.. I can't say too much, because there is no such thing as too much. This is great stuff...

The degree of awesome this is is difficult to encapsulate with words. Speaks for itself for sure
For a video it would be awesome! But for a 64k demo it is nothing less than G.O.D.L.I.K.E.!.!.!.

Stunning. I had always enjoyed Demo Thursday on former NBC Germany's computer game show GIGA, pretty entertaining, but this one was the one demo that convinced me that digital art truly is art.

Either it's not hand-coded assembly, or they're using code compression techniques along with procedural texture generation or all of the above. Either way, this is one bad ass demo!

@soccuhplayuh No , there are 3 or 4 motion cycles that perfectly sync with the beat in a magic way. I know what they were up to , if i had the skills , i know i would do it the same .
One rendered frame of this movie is probably larger than the executable.

@jasons520 They don't use an animation software. This is generated by pure low-level code in e.g. C/C++ and shaders which execute on the GPU.
@gargaj Are you sure ? It totally matches as cuts.

Excellent, but nowhere did I see any dynamics exhibiting chaos ... that is, exponentially divergent solutions starting from nearby initial conditions (in a bounded system?)

@Kargaroc286 maybe you'd be suprised, go ahead and give it a try. My 3-year-old system runs it smoothly at 800x600 or thereabouts. And you don't notice the low-res because of the cool style of the whole thing.

My computer has more RAM than James's (My Dad :I), But to make it run smoothly, I have to put it on one of the lower screen resolutions. Besides if you mean a desktop, it will obviously run more smoothly

hooooolyyyyy craaaaaap. I only just found out about all this stuff. If this was made in 06 what the hell can be made in '13? I'm off to see. It is staggering how the algorithms for all this stuff and the music AND the data that controls the transitions between the algorithms is ALL in that 64K
It does take some power to run the exe.
I have an i7 laptop with GeForce GT 630M with 2GB onboard. It is jerky at 1920x1080 but smooth at 1366x768 although I can see a few angles and boy is it running hot!

The bugfree recording was removed due to copyright. WHAT THE FUCK.! There isn't even a copyright on it ! - the product is the code not the resulting rendering!
For some reason videos of our stuff started getting hit by copyright claims - it certainly wasn't us! But it's all settled now.
