Celtic TV Cameras Show Work Underway on the Club’s New Training Facility at Barrowfield

- Celtic is soon to have a brand new state of the art training facility and the Celtic TV cameras were granted exclusive access to the site as work began on the multi-million pound project. The site at Barrowfield, once the training ground of the Lisbon Lions, will be transformed into a world class facility that will be the base for both boys and girls academies and also the Celtic FC Women’s 1st team.
Speaking as the ground was broken, Head of Academy Chris McCart said he was delighted that work was finally underway.
“This is the biggest investment and development since Lennoxtown and it’s one which the Academy is very excited about. It’s going to be a boost for all our young players coming through the club.”
New Celtic FC Women’s Manager Elena Sadiku is equally excited that these new facilities, set to be opened later this year, will mean top quality training facilities, both indoor and outdoor, for her team. Having come from the English game, Elena is confident the new centre will bring Celtic up to the level of the top clubs down south.
“One hundred percent. It’s going to be easier for me to sell this idea of how we want to be as a club, our vision, and help them to achieve something. It’s going to be incredible when it’s done.”

Theres a difference between spoilt and acceptance we were only spoilt in Scotland as only 1 team can beat us to the league we have never pushed forward in Europe in any way shape or form infact we've declined in every aspect of competitive football, throwing away money on shite players in transfer windows every time throwing the league +£60m to our biggest rivals after we apparently won it in October, get humiliated every time we play in any European competitions, pitch at parkhead is a plough field and has as many potholes as the roads around it. Just bring back big ange sack brendan and the board and about 80% of the squad we thought we needed a rebuild when ange came here we need full reconstruction now clean out from top to bottom regardless of who wins this league

Old boys act with the academy, (mccart, mcmanus and o' dea) NOT best people in class. UNDER investment in the women's team (3rd biggest budget in the league!?), shocking waste of money on the men's team, etc etc.
I'll take this video down the pub, and show it to the Rangers lads when they win the league. That'll sicken them....

Celtic currently isn't a name associated with quality on or off the pitch. Read the room. It's a club that is associated with zero ambition and an unwillingness to consolidate and push on. Winning the league in Scotland with the resources handed to the club by the continued support of the global fanbase, and the abject lack of quality in the league, should mean it's the minimum level of achievement expected. The area where we should be aiming to achieve (Europe) should currently be a cause for embarrassment for the current board, as it is for the fans.
So don't think the viewers of this and all the other content you put out dont see it all for exactly what it is. You can't polish a t*rd.

Brendan Rodgers' openly stated goal for his new tenure was to make a dent in Europe. He literally said it in his press conference. We're not asking to win it. But our club didn't even prepare for it again this pre-season. So you see that, to me, is bullish*t. I will support this club through thick and thin, but I will never settle for the board and manager gaslighting the fans. You might be happy to do that but history tells us where that gets us and I think you can see the beginnings of it in the league now. You can see it can't you? @@AndyBoy67 Aye, there's no way that's a £6m project, the size of the area, the facilities being put in place, several new pitches getting laid (grass & artificial), permiter fencing, car parks etc.
They said "costing up to £20m" and that seems a reasonable figure for this particular project.

I understand the club are trying to recover a bit of goodwill with the fans that put all the money in your little piggy bank, this isn't the way, hardly any youth team players are good enough, and the womens team are just a side issue to the majority of fans, you've given Rangers this league and the champions league money in order to keep them close, so your pennies keep rolling in, its actually worse than no ambition, falsely supporting a rival for the cash flow, i hope no one renews season books or buys shirts until the board are replaced with competent football people.

Maybe finding the best people for the job rather than jobs for the boys / yes men would improve us.

@@alexchalmers3151 This is one part of the equation - the club has been neglectful in other areas, hoping to scrape through season after season without investing when it's been obvious to many where the club needed strengthening.
Also, facilities mean little without quality people developing future talent.
Building a long term successful future means continually bringing in revenue, and you can't do that without a successful first team - every year we're told how much money will come in with a decent European run, but in recent years we've been dire, and we keep repeating the same mistakes - doing the bare minimum isn't going to build success. 🍀

Tony Ralston, i wouldnt have mentioned. He's really done nothing for Celtic ,and if he did ,he'd be doing it on the park just now, and proving his worth, especially at this moment in time when good defenders are highly needed at the moment. The board thinks spending money on new training facilities is going to make the team better when we've not really had any decent palyers come through the academy setup in year's, with maybe the exception of two or three player's....thats it!!!! I think they maybe should have been thinking about extending the size of Celtic park and with what they add ,letting people pay rather than always having season ticket holders getting first options for tickets etc. Having another 7-10 thousands seats added to Celtic park would be what id like to see done,and of course they'd sell out,maybe not in your average league game on a cold Janurary night,but certainly on big games,so it would add up in the long run ,and it would give an extra 10k Celtic supporters the opportunity to pay into the stadium and have a chance of seeing games whilst bringing in hard cash just with those extra seats. If Lennoxtown csnt produce decent players,then this place certainly wont. A total pontless waste of money. They should have just upfsted Lennoxtown and added to it,whatever it may have needed.

Given we as a club receive 0.00001%, possibly less television revenue, our club has to keep up with structural developments using other means.
If your not happy with investment decisions which are generational, don't renew your season ticket.
Others will replace you.
In the league structure we play in, we're not going to attract 10-20-30 million pound players, let alone be in a position to pay the wages such players would command in leagues with far larger revenue streams and let's be honest some players in other leagues who have large pay packets are pretty average.
It seems some fans of our club need a reality check and when turning up to the stadium support the team and stop expecting to see the same fanfare sky sports affords other league teams.
