Rosie said in blackpink: light up the sky that she doesn’t think she will ever be able to perfect this song because of the amount of emotion and energy this song requires. And she is right. From the lyrics to the delivery to the instrumental. The lyrics are so deep and emotional and you can really hear how gifted each member is. I can personally relate to this song which is why I adore Blackpink because they can do any genre of music. They have 0 boundaries when it come to exploring different sounds. I feel revived when I listen to them because they make the grass seem green and the air seem fresher. Blackpink is truly a breath of fresh air and I don’t think words can describe how talented they are individually and as a whole. I love them and they deserve every last bit of success. Love you lots BP xoxo

This song is what made me stan BLACKPINK for personal reasons but I never fully understood why Rosé said this was one of their hardest songs to sing. The way Knox explained the control necessary with the push and pull in how this was delivered now clarified why this was hard to sing. Thank you so much Knox, for sharing your knowledge and for genuinely appreciating these four artists equally. More power to you Sir!

I really love how there is a harmonization between one girl ending her line and the next starting hers. That slight overlap is really unique and beautiful. All of the girls are great vocalists.

Fact: The choruses in this song are not made by blackpink (only a few words by rosé and lisa) it is made by another girl who by the way sings incredible, I think her name was Lydia, although some believe they are made by bekuh boom (songwriter who works a lot with blackpink).
The point is that they were not made by blackpink but I think it was not a bad choice to use another voice because the song was super beautiful with these choruses
