@@josephkennedy2953 The difference is that Paige got the rest of the team involved and is a better overall player. McKenzie was all about having the ball all the time and cherry picking, instead of staying back on defense. That girl was halfway to the basket by the time the rebound happened. She's a great scorer but poor team player.
Paige and Mackenzie are both great players. Cant wait to see what they do in college ball.

Paige is arguably the best female baller to come out of MN. That said Hopkins is like the Golden State of women’s basketball right now! They are stacked with talent on the bench! McKenzie didn’t have much help this game other than at Tnaye? McKenzie is a monster and carried her team. I’m sure Hopkins has many ladies ready to step up when Paige leaves.
Both girls are hoopers and certified buckets shout out to them 🙌🏾 the hesi at 6:55 was really 🔥 too
McKenzie is an excellent shot but she isn't required to do as much for her team as Paige. And a bunch if her points were off her hanging at half court.
Over all Hopkins is an amazing team! But one thing they lack on is there defense 😩 there so good but there defense is kinda bad

Cheryl Miller was amazing, that's a good comparison, but also I was thinking she's more like a mix of Sheryl Swoopes and Cynthia Cooper. Damn. I can't wait to see what she does in her career.

I feel like a lot of her points were garbage buckets. I think she's good, but, I really don't feel like she had an impact on the game. She did a lot of cherry picking . But I guess it her Coach allows her to do that, cool. You would think with the amount of points she scored, it would have been a different outcome, but, it was still a blowout.
Paige has amazing court vision. Passes are great and her team know to stay alert because soon as they’re open she gets them the ball.
I don’t think Mackenzies team is at that level. Maybe Mackenzie isn’t confident in her teams ability to score so she carries the team. Idk that one girl was hitting those full court outlet passes like she was Kevin love. 👍🏾 Fun to watch
Seems like majority of Kenzie’s points were all Transition layups outside of 5-7 points. Most of Paige points were in the half court set, also has the ability to create for everyone else.
McKenzie has a nice jumper.

Two teams playing basketball and Bueckers... something else really! So damn talented and fun to watch! I'd love to see her play with our own belgian pride, Emma Meesseman. How lethal would that be? Nice kid too so it seems, you need more than muscle to be a champ and she definitely has it.
Bueckers' court vision is phenomenal. McKenzie is a relentless scorer. Beuckers can score pretty much at will also though. That separates her among other great players. She's got some Taurasi in her and that's about as high as you can get in the praise department in women's basketball IMO.
Adalia is very good. Paige is very good. But Paige's teamwork excels.

from watching this video the roles these 2 play on their team is different, it seems paige is asked to run the team - which could be to score, pass, control tempo, etc, it seems mckenzie is just being asked to score, paige is legit, but anyone saying mckenzie is not that look into that girl's eyes....smh......tell me you don't see that fire and will

The diffrence is pagie give alot of the shots she could make to her teamate vs mackenzie gets all of the passes and keeps the ball, paige is a better team player and i think the medals speak for them self, that said theyre both great players
Both of these girls can flat out ball. Whoever is hating on McKenzie is crazy. She is getting it done. Moves great without the ball, always in the right spot on offence and did come up with a couple of steals as well. She obviously isn't a ball handler like Paige and it doesn't look like her team has as structured an offence (Paige and her team run all kinds of offensive sets, double high screens with the lower pick rolling and lots of back door action) or defence (McKenzie had zero percent help when she got beat), so you cannot hate on her for losing. But what I loved most about this game is the two best players guarded each other. Neither cared about how it would look if one person made the other look bad. They both took on the responsibility and the challenge. They both are too talented offensively to be stopped by each other, but I love the pride and competitiveness. Obviously am only watching highlights and not full gameplay, but "men/boys" could learn a lot from these ladies... ahem... ball players!

If you watch the full game you'll see that at this point in her development McKenzie has a footwork problem. It's common of course, young and still growing. She seems to have trouble keeping her feet and hips pointed in the same direction she wants them to go. She could be a great offensive player though. I feel bad for all of them when they go up against organized defense. I think in HS they don't bother because they want people to come to the games and for it to be exciting. The NBA did this same thing when they began to struggle with attendance during the Pistons era around the late 80's. People didn't want to come see a game where the score was 50-60. A lot of WBB college teams are still playing tough physical defense though and it's going to be a shocker for these kids. I think it it's why we are seeing much slower development in the NCAA now then we did just several years ago. It's tough when suddenly everyone's as good a ball player as you are and now a lot more physical too. It'll be better for the kids and the game itself if we stop trying to create HS superstars now and start focusing on preparing them for the best possible chance of a career in basketball

Women's basketball is on the rise. I've never seen such high level play in girls high school basketball as we've been seeing the past five years.

The way Adalia McKenzie played, I’m surprised she wasn’t listed in the top 10 college recruits of the 2020-2021 class.
McKenzie was #53 and went to Illinois, nice player. That’s why you can’t just watch highlights. She got 25 of her points on unguarded fast breaks. She’s only avg 9pts on 40% shooting(not good), has only about 1 assist per game, more turnovers than assists and and hasn’t made a single 3 all year. She’s rated #1819 offensively and #3246 defensively. Even injured, Paige is ranked #10 and #21, respectively, and top 5 in both for starting guards, and #3 in assist/turnover ratio( #1 amongst started!). Really no comparison at all. Paige is on the path to , Adalia won’t even make the WNBA unless she get 100% better shooting and 200% more athletic defensively.

Wanted to see what Paige’s game looked like and ended up seeing a McKenzie highlight reel.
Paige is definitely more better overall and has better vision. She’s actually uses her teammates. No hate to McKenzie but she gotta be a shooting guard with a point guard to dish out assists. Since she’s the only strong person on her team she tries to carry them.

If paige goes right she's going to the hoop. If she goes left she's shooting a midrange. She's not comfortable going to the left. The opposing team should force her left every time.

3:20 - 3:23 Against 2 Hopkins players she goes hard to her right and creates separation with a pull back dribble. My only criticism is her right foot was on the 3 pt line; otherwise, it would have been 3 points instead of 2. This is the move of a BALLER! She's a great player!

I wish Bueckers and McKenzie will be both be go to a less popular D1 program and make a name for themselves by winning a chip there.... going to UCONN means they will just be another name on that long UCONN list.... Create a legacy in a smaller known woman's basketball program.
McKenzie may go that route. Paige is already a standout at UConn in her freshman season. All-time freshman assist leader at the top program in women’s basketball.

is that so? Paige makes everyone plays better, which ever team she plays with. even with team USA, she averaging 4.5 assists, if im not mistaken. McKenzie is more like a scorer rather than passer and all around player like paige. McKenzie would be still a ball hog no matter which team she plays with, imo. she still a good player tho, no doubt.
McKenzie is a strong player. Paige has more skills in her offensive game, however. A little lazy on D and does not have a high motor. Gino will be on her so we'll see if she has that entitled attitude in college. She could get exposed by a quicker guard. A good 2 years in a good college weight program should help also.

Nah, Paige is much more well rounded player.. Paige makes her team better, while McKenzie cherry picks on the other end of the court half the time. Shes a good scorer sure but she also takes 75 % of her teams shots! Paige does it all. One of the best passers I've since at the hs level. Just look at the stats sheets and see how many of her teammates are also in double figures scoring. It says a lot about her game.
@SoloSnipezz How would you know they aren't good? They don't get a chance to get involved in the game. This was a showcase of two different players, one that is all about her winning the game and the other about getting her teammates involved and winning the game as a team. How are the other girls on McKenzie's team ever supposed to get better when McKenzie doesn't allow them to play?
