A hidden gem previously missed from my journey with Wolfgang.
Unsurprisingly a masterpiece, technically how can this genius be wrong when it comes to praising God.
A fine work. I'm surprised by the Benedictus fugue, very unusual structure.
crisis of inspiration?
Божественно! Спасибо большое! Divine! Thanks a lot!
Still loving this. Cathy jones
the agnus dei is to cry!! So touching
l admire those strong musicians.
Just a fantastic work!
Credo is incredible
Hosanna!!
Excellent!
The last mozart's "Missa brevis"
Credo!
Gratias tibi Amadeo!
I love K. 337 :)
I've often paired it with the Kyrie fragment, K. 323 (Anhang 15), splicing in that Kyrie before the Gloria - it's rather convincing and, given the documented Credo fragment that comes with this mass, it makes me wonder...
I know Colloredo liked to squeeze a Missa Solemnis into the same timeframe as a low mass but my goodness, that Gloria is fast.
Oh god this is so brilliant!!!!
Thanks! I didn't think it looked like Mozart!
The Credo As if from heaven angel sound! Seems to see God sitting on the throne!
Pamina Pamina. My sweet little Pamina. I’ve almost found you. Nay u almost found me!! Xo. Always. Allways. Always and 4ever
Die Messe ist in B , ich sang sie erst mit.
The picture is of Franz Xaver Sussmayr, not Mozart.
+DustyCHK Really? He is handsome.

Thank you! We've seen this portrait frequently; it is quite unlike any other of Mozart. Sussmayer should be pictured with Mozart on the Requiem since without Mozart's student we might not ever hear this sublime work.
Many have not heard this Mass and there is a good reason. It was discovered hidden in a wall around 1960. A marvelous work. I have a feeling Mozart hid it near the end of his short life as he was not overly fond of the Church at the time.
Not sure that’s correct, it was published by Breitkopf und Härtel in the 19th century.

Fantastic! But the music is in B not In C
It is indeed in C major, but it sounds like B major because this is a "Historically-Informed Performance", using instruments and tuning that existed (or might've existed) during Mozart's time. As a result, pieces performed this way would usually sound a half-step lower than they would be in today's tuning.
VieViaPaVria ah wow, thanks for info! :)
Even someone as ill-tempered and grumpy as Mozart (and he had the good reason- his deafness), who wrestled with God all his life, also wrote a wonderful Mass and took the priest on his deathbed.
It is a pity that today there is created a kind of music :( even greater pity that the church is no longer the game :(
MrsMagdalenaKamila Mozart was never deaf. Perhaps you mean Beethoven?
