  • On October 1st, IPI together with the Timor-Leste Maritime Boundary Office, will cohost an event to discuss the importance of the multilateral system and international law to the government of Timor-Leste, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

    Did the Portuguese have a demarcation line with Australia years before the 1975 invasion of Timor? What were the Portuguese doing in Timor prior to that terrible episode when the Maubere people were executed by the Indonesians with approval of the Great countries such as The USA, Great Britain and Australia? The Portuguese government let our people down by not confronting the invaders who massacred and reducing our small nation to ashes. Portugal didn't developed Timorese spirit and intellect but instead lowered us and made us as their inferiors and we are still bowing to them. I'm sure they are still abusing our kindness and humility from the stories I have gathered
