  • So you know how you have the sciatic nerve, which is the biggest nerve in the body overall but obviously situated in the lower body. Well, if we forget about that for a sec, we can look into the second biggest nerve in the body or the biggest nerve in the upper body - the Median Nerve.
The median nerve will come out of the brachial plexus which you can see drawn on Eli’s neck in the video. Thank you @Eli for being a part of this series by the way!
The nerve itself is fascinating, because if you follow the video closely you will see how it forms itself and how the other nerve in the arm will essentially connect to it.
I have always liked to use the fingers as a means to decide which nerve exactly is injured or compressed out of the brachial plexus bundle (I will be posting more videos about this and the other nerves later) and I like the way the drawing allows you to make the connection between each finger and each nerve root of the plexus itself.
There is a reason why we decided to draw the actual nerve roots on the neck as write them down next to their starting points - this allows you to see how the plexus operates really.
Even though these are different nerve roots and each one has its own life and function, the work together in order to form the actual nerve branches, but then down the arm, they will separate again. I love that about nerves.
Anyway, if you want to watch the full lecture and learn more, head over to the Bulletproof Shoulders program from the link in my bio or the one below:
