This Martial arts called "Thang taa" was used by ancient MANIPURI people during King rule. And using only this arts, Manipuri people protects & guard from Britishers reign for a very long period of time. The last place which Britishers conquer all over India was this place ( call Manipur, North east India). And this place got indipendence one day before from all over India i.e. 14th of August (others states of India 15th August). Britishers army fear this Martial arts form. Even Two British Army Major got kill by MANIPURI people.
That is "Thang Ta" - Manipuri Martial Art.

That's manipuri Martial arts Huyen lanlong mainly known as Thang Ta.With which the Meiteis defeated the attacks as can mentioned those of Burmese,Chinese etc which rule our kingdom ourselves without any disturbances for more than 2000 years.It was believed to be invented by the first king of manipur (Kangleipak #old name),Nongda Lairen Pakhangba the dragon God or the demi god the second son of Atiya guru sidaba.This art is so fearful to our enemies you can react to the first Manipur Chief Minister Martial arts Festival you could see many nice moves.

Not related to bodh dharma, "Thang-ta" had been introduced before his birth. It was introduced by our ancestors in order to safeguard ourselves from forest animals and the enemies. Don't try to stick our martial art culture to indian culture.

"Shaolin Kungfu" was introduced by Bodhidharma(a South Indian,a Herbal Treatment Specialist) to China. The Actual name of Kugfu(Somewhat Modified) is "Kalaripayattu"(Original One).
