As a Kenyan it saddens me to see the US manipulate our leaders like this. Kenya is no position to help Haiti, we have a lot of our own internal security problems to deal with including Alshabaab and as such we don't even have enough security personnel at home. Lastly, I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but everything the US touches dies. I'm still yet to see any positive outcome from any US led foreign intervention, the latest one being Ukraine. A force of 1000 security personnel from Kenya is underpowered to deal with current situation in Haiti, the mission is a perfect recipe for failure.

They won’t make a difference. The Haitian leaders are part of the x president assassination. They just need protection for government officials and the big people businesses. That’s all it’s about. They created the gangs to act like they can’t have election so they won’t bring them to justice, and some of those big international countries are also involve in the assassination, they can’t put pressure to have election in Haiti because they are out of players, they have no one to select because the Haitian people already know who their players are, after more than 2 years since they assassinated the president, they can not select one of their own to put in power, so they just keep on playing chest with the people of Haiti. No one knows for how long this is going to last, but the good thing is, Haitians took note of their wrong doings and are watching very closely.

America has intervened so many times in Haiti and failed so many times. It's always easy to walk into a conflict zone but difficult to walk out. ✅Since the Kenyan gov't is run by lobbyists in other words people who are more interested in exploiting you maximally while giving you as little as possible nothing new is going to happen except what's been happening with the Saudi Arabia deal and Kenyan house girls. The Point is that the big political players and their corporate lobbyists will ship most young police men offshore to Haiti where they be will be exploited maximally while they and their families will get paid as little as possible. ✅This deal is only going to make arms dealers and lobbyists in Kenya richer who will then hide their money in foreign off shores just like the Eurobond that never reached Kenya. ✅In Haiti legal and illegal Gun ownership among locals is very high while in Kenya its not. Hence The Kenyan Police will make massive blunders and not to mention language barriers and accent will add to them being easy to identify. They will therefore to die by hundreds becoz they'll be facing armed gangs not protesters armed with stones and the gov't is going to play cover up with help from the West who will throwing money at them and becoz the deal is too sweet to leave more idiots will be shipped there. ✅ Most Police officers deployed there will come back to Kenya traumatized with PSTD which will intensify their brutality. ✅Eventually People will grow weary of sending their children offshore to die while leaders profit off of their bloodshed which will intensify their lack of Faith and Trust for their gov't. ✅The US weapons bought will only be used to increase Police brutality in Kenya and they'll be used to tighten the grip on Power by those already in Power which will intensify political unrest. ✅Absolutely Nothing's going to change that betters the lives of Kenyans. ✅ The fact that the Kenyan gov't is openly lying in bed with the West, Kenya will become a hot spot and an easy playground for ISIS and Islamic radicals who will do less convincing to an already disgruntled public that are facing inflation, political lies and unfulfilled promises. ✅This list is just a tenth of all the problems

The US have had many failed policies in Haiti as the situation on the ground in Haiti clearly demonstrates. I hope President Ruto understands what he is getting into. Mexico thought about it and backed off. Why? I really don’t want to see Kenya fail in Haiti. They will get some success in the first days as others have, but leaving Haiti in a worse position than when they came would not help Kenya nor Haiti. In my opinion, Haiti’s problems has been the international community, particularly the coups sponsored by the United States against Jean Bertrand Aristide. By the way, he won twice in the most democratic elections Haiti has ever known, and was twice toppled by the US.
I am not really sure how Kenya can help Haiti without getting itself in conflict with great powers like the US, Canada, and the EU. I would guess the only way is to side with the people, and that’s not in US interests.

I would hate to see Kenya fail in Haiti. They Haitian people will fight Kenyan troops if they become a tool in the hands of “Core Group” as other UN mission have. Their task should be to protect the population. They should clearly identify who is who. They should find out who is giving arms to the real gangs and for what.

Kenya deciding to go to Haiti to fight gangs with mostly machete is not a coincidence and it’s not a decision just for the sake.Obviously Kenya is set to gain from this mission even if they don’t necessarily succeed.(1)Kenya has a lot of Experience in dealing with such in its own country and it succeeded.Remember the tribal gang groups in Kenya yrs back:Alshabaab,Mungiki,in Mt Elgon case,in the coast where gangs tried to come up to say Coast is not Kenya, government swiftly dealt with that..etc.(2)Financial gain or boost to Kenya by foreign Missions..thus slightly improving economy.(3)Kenya is trying to make the world look at it in a different way, trying to court foreign powers..

I am a concerned citizen of Haiti, deeply troubled by the prospect of Kenya's intervention in our country. Our people have expressed their clear disapproval; we believe that such an intervention would only serve to support our corrupt government, rather than the interests of the Haitian people.
Haiti has been grappling with political instability and corruption for years now. According to Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index 2020, Haiti ranks 170 out of 180 countries, indicating a severe corruption problem (Transparency International). This is not a situation that can be improved by foreign interference that does not prioritize the needs and voices of Haitians. Kenya's involvement could further complicate this delicate situation and potentially exacerbate existing issues rather than resolve them.
