Great you enjoyed using my Hasselblad Nigel, it was made in 1980 and is still working fine. Hope it inspires other subscribers to revisit using analogue films in 120 medium format.
Kept mine, couple of 500cm and later, picked up when every one was dumping them cheap, especially the lenses. Now used with digital backs, that are coming down in price! Enjoyed the pistol grip and accessories, iconic camera! Also the Sinar F2 studio camera, just for fun with the same digital backs. All good!
Always clean the cassette before putting a new film in it. Put the darkslide in the A12 back before loading it with a new 120 film The cassette is ready to shoot at no.1 plus a white spot! See the shutter is cocked ( and the mirror down), before placing the A12 at the back of the camera.
i have been using a rolleiflex but have been given a hasselblad 500cm with a distagon, sonnar and planar t* 2.8 80mm. on the lens between the synchro compur marking there is a little hook. what is it's purpose.?

I do miss those. Used them everyday from 1984 to 2002. And yes use your left finger for the shutter!

Haha. Actually there is a self-timer on the lens, but we didn't cover that bit.
