    That carburetor isn't an upgrade, it's a downgrade. If you take off air cleaner and look at air intake it's at least 2mm smaller than stock NT, also no adjustability, other than jet changes. Stock NT carburetors are totally underrated because people don't know how to adjust needle and jet them properly. When clean and properly tuned they can feed any stock style cylinder up to a true 80cc without a problem.

    a regular ignition system, like an old school point system, just closes the gap on a set of points at a certain time, this puts power to the coil, which amplifies the voltage from 12 volts from your magneto, to about 20,000 or more, firing your spark plug. that's why these can shock the hell out of you, although it won't kill you, because of the coil takes 12 volt at let's say 1 amp, and changes the voltage to 20 or 30,000 volts, at 5 milliamp. yeah that's really low powered voltage. so it just shocks you it doesn't kill you. basically, think taser. only difference is a taser has a circuit that flips a switch on and off really fast, making that buzzing sound. you could think of amperage like this: a lot of amps like 200 to 500 amps to start a car, with those gigantic jumper cables, only 12 volts now, and having a little 9 volt battery(close enough voltage for this example, if you don't like it, put two 9 volts together in series and make it 18 volts, and it'll do the same damn thing), with only milliamps of power. and really neither one will shock you. but you lay a wrench over a car battery, it'll glow bright red and weld itself in half in seconds(and probably blow up so don't do that). you put that same wrench across the 9-volt battery, you're lucky to see any spark at all. enough with that. anyway, with a CDI ignition, you've got your usual magneto generating your 12 volts, this charges a capacitor, a capacitor is like a battery that charges in a millisecond and discharges within a millisecond, all the way to a couple of seconds or more depending on the cap. then, a magnet, usually on the outside of the flywheel or magneto, triggers a hall effect switch, which unloads the cap, charged with power, to that 30,000 volt coil, when it goes by that magnet. then it Sparks that spark plug, pow. then the process starts all over again thousands of times per second or something. maybe I taught you something maybe I didn't, I tried. 🥴💢

    Your engine needs to be mounter on the bike so that the carburetor float bowl is level to the ground. Your float bowl will fill up to its proper level and you will get a better fuel draw from the carburetor. And just maybe the engine will run faster. if you like the way the engine looks mounted that way then you need a manifold pipe that will set the carburetor float bowl at ground level..

    Warm these chinadoll engines up 100% before riding anywhere. I start the engine then I have a couple of places I can sit at and warm things up.I increase the throttle adjustment pin so it will run at a fast idle unassisted. As it warms the RPM will increase and the popping in the exhaust tone will smooth out as RPM increases. Slow it down a tad. Listen for the RPM increase. I go thru this 3-4 times. The engine will run in a smooth 2 stroke as it warms up. I will be changing the carb main jet one or two steps leaner. For now, I simply leaned the carb needle, second down from the top. This increases engine heat up to 70% power. Main jet is rich, if the engine isn't warmed up completely at full open throttle the engine will 4 stroke. Back off the throttle a bit till the engine smooths, the engine will step back into 2 stroke, the engine will smooth and get a little quieter. The cylinder and head are aluminum, the rings are cast iron, and the cylinder has a chrome surface. All these different metals have different heat expansion rates so they need to be warmed, thermal saturation, equal heat throughout the whole engine.

    • @tinypurplefishesrunlaughin8052
      @tinypurplefishesrunlaughin8052 Před 2 lety

      If you are talking long distance desert heat I suggest using a bit more oil in fuel mix and securing large copper fins to the stock cylinder head fins and using a jet size to run a little rich, retard timing a degree or more ,increase airflow over engine with fender shaping, keep tires small smooth and air pressure at maximum, reduce aerodynamic drag whenever possible. It’ll run cool enough.over 120 miles with a couple of stops to fuel up or rest eat or drink. Good luck . Hint: buy the USA case bearings for added confidence on long journeys. There is no crankcase to oil all lubrication is done by adding two stroke oil to the gasoline without it the motor will destroy itself in minutes. There are no galleys for water to travel through as this economical gem is air cooled remember the fins? Have a great (Hot) day Sir. I hope this helped.

    I'm not an expert, but it sounds like it's a little bit rich in mixture. I would try (for science) playing with the main jet needle height setting. If it's currently rich (too much fuel compared to air) I'd adjust the needle to sit lower. That way it holds back the fuel a little, relative to the air coming through. There are tons of videos about carb tuning. It's kind of a thing 😆

    What’s your mix ratio? Make sure you run 32/1. The instructions may say 16/1 but that’s very bad for your motors life and performance. I think either your mix ratio is off or main jet, it should sound more like a dirtbike, but that’s just my 2 cents

      Thank I’ll try that. I’ve been running 16/1 for the break in. It’s about time to swap. I’ll go to 32/1

      @@JoshHarrisRides yeah 16/1 is what the Chinese want so it does blow up before it gets out of warranty because they like to be on the safe side. This can be bad for your rings in the long run because they won’t seat properly, i personally started 50/1 on day one. I would start off at 32/1 and then go to 40/1 after. Hope this helps, love your channel can’t wait for another video!
