I love SB and I sell this foundation. The application is true very different. It's hydrating and mattifying. It's not like your typical foundation. It does take some time for your skin to absorb it. I worked on this lady for 20-30mins and I use my fingers to apply her makeup and kept blending it then it finally settled. I was amazed how good it looked because I put this on mature skin and she looked young with it on. SB always give you model makeup without the hefty price. Now I know to do a half pump or less to apply. I'm gonna use a beauty blender next time but I just want to not use one since BB has changed their formula and now they're crap. I love all the antioxidant ingredients!

How do you feel this foundation compares to the Louboutin fluide foundation or the Sisley phyto perfection foundation?
I liked this foundation on your skin, but I could tell you had to work quickly to get it well blended. At 60, I'm looking for easy, stress free application. Although the idea of not using powder sounds fantastic!! But I can see the attraction of having a foundation that sets down and lasts for so long!!❤❤❤ PS It's been a stressful week at my house, with my husband having to take a ride in an ambulance to the hospital.😥He is better now, but needs more tests. I would love for you to add him to your prayer list, so thank you!! 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for this. The Smashbox Studio Skin hydrating is my favorite foundation and best shade match (1.05.) I believe it was discontinued ? I love that there are olive undertones in this range. It's a challenge to find foundations that are fair/light and olive. I'm 57 and have normal to dry skin. I'm not sure if this will work great for me but I really want to try it. It looks lovely on you 💖

Not sure yet if I will try this one out. I do love the Smashbox studio skin hydrating foundation. This one seems to be getting mixed reviews.
Yeah, I'd definitely go for a sample first, knowing how you love the Studio Skin version. ❤️ I didn't have as much luck with the Studio Skin, as it ended up a bit dry for me, but I know we have different skin types, and seeing as this one (the Always On) provided more moisture, I'm not sure how it would perform throughout the day for you. But if you do end up trying, you know I always love to hear your expert opinion, for reference! ❤️🤗 Have a great day Marielle! 🌺

I like the look of this foundation but I don't like how hard it is to work into the skin.. Did you find it sticky at all during application or after? Was it patchy? At the moment I'm using Estee Lauder double wear is it like that or better? This one is easy to work into the skin I find and has a long lasting beautiful finish
... But costs me more money... hehe! 😂 but I don't use much so lasts a long time! 😍 xx

Great questions! 💕 I didn't find the SMASHBOX to be sticky, however it was one I had to work with very quickly, and I did have some (very slight) patchiness as I was applying. It wasn't terrible (like the Gucci foundation I mentioned in the video) but there were a few spots that I noticed I had to go over a few times to even them out with the rest of the foundation. Also, areas where I had any blemishes needed a little extra finessing. In my opinion, it's pretty different from the Estée Lauder Double Wear. The SMASHBOX has a thinner texture than the ELDW but ELDW definitely has more coverage, and is not as finicky to apply. I did a "classic" video on the ELDW and I fell in love with it. I can see why it's been around for more than a quarter of a century! ☺️ It's a hard formulation to beat. Price wise ELDW is about 4 dollars more, but I completely agree with you, that its a worthy investment, because of how it performs and the fact that you can use so little at a time, so it really lasts! Probably won’t try it. The price point for me is a bit much. I’ve been using Moira pressed powder foundation!!! Wow!! I never thought I could wear that with my normal to dry skin . It’s amazing !!

Major claim of this foundation is that IT DOESNT oxidize , but you started the video saying it does , but doesn’t oxidation need time to occur? Did it REALLY oxidize ? Saw several videos today so I went out to buy it , seems promising and apparently it beats este lauder double wear
Hi there! 😊 Thank you so much for asking this great question! ❤️ In my personal experience it has oxidized on me (slightly) each time I have used it. And you are absolutely correct that it takes time to oxidize. As you mentioned , at the 00:20 second mark of this video I put up my oxidation test..( I like to do an oxidation test on each foundation I test, along with letting viewers know how long it takes to dry. ) If you see the bottom of the picture with the two swatches, there should be a note that says “dry time” that is the amount of time the foundation took to go from freshly applied (wet) to completely dry (when I can touch it, and none of the foundation transfers back onto my fingers.) The “dry down” time for this one I believe was a little over six minutes. So the bottom swatch is what it looked like after the six minutes (when it was completely dry, and then I put a fresh (wet) swatch on top, so you could see what it compares to when it’s first applied. With all that said, oxidation is a chemical reaction, and it can be slightly different for everyone. Many times the amount of oxidation is related to the amount of oil on one’s skin. So it might not oxidize on you as much as it does on me. 🙂 I still think it’s a really great foundation though, and I’m really excited for you to try it. Great video and review, Jenny, thank you! (Is it odd that I want to kiss Normie's squishy, lovable face?) It has been SO hot and humid here that I've been skipping makeup altogether for a couple of weeks, now. I don't do well in the heat, so it's been a challenge to do *anything* except sit and sweat (not a pretty sight). However, regards the review, that one looks a little too fussy and drying for my ancient skin, so I'm going to stick with the new Maybelline Skin Tint; the couple of times I've retried this, I'm really liking it! I'm SO glad you like the Maybelline Skin Tint! I'm currently wearing that on one side of my face while wearing the L'oreal Hyaluronic Serum Foundation on the other, so I can give a video review comparing the two! ❤️ And I agree 100% on skipping the foundation on extra hot days! When I was in Texas, a few weeks ago, I didn't wear a lick of makeup for a week straight! 🥵
