I have been to two of these, took my friend to dice saloon in Brighton when we were there on a trip, introduced her to board games with codenames duet and sagrada. Popped into thirsty meeples in oxford with my husband last year and drooled over the games 😅
I've been to two of those! (Dice Saloon in Brighton and Ludoquist, my local, in Croydon) and my work colleague to one (Thirsty Meeples in Oxford). I always feel welcome in Ludoquist - it has a lovely atmosphere there, the staff are friendly and Nick the owner is a nice guy. Plus the food is good. Dice Saloon had a bigger choice of games (my heart leapt when I walked in) but the shop owner was a bit miserable and not very chatty when I visited.

Sorry I'm late to this. A brilliant video, and much respect for going to all those board game cafe's to give us an overview of each, and how they differ from one another. I love that you included a short interview with each owner/manager for their take. Since the only board game cafe I've been to is Chance & Counters based in Bristol (who do not sell board games) I never considered a board game cafe as a place to sell my game. Food for thought :-) I love Dave's end comment... so true.
Nice video, and lots of food for thought - just one criticism - the title is a little misleading - you didn't visit any of Scotland's many board game cafes in your review, it's part of the UK as well?
You missed a trick whilst in the area with the Comic Shop in Crawley who have undergone the transformation to Board Game Cafe...
I did consider it. But passed it by as it was promoted entirely as a comic shop rather than a board game cafe. So it didnt really call out to me
