Here Rafael Baca from San Jose receives the ball and turns. Baca has two clear options:
1) Beitashour in the middle
2) Chavez out wide
Which choice would you make?
Result: Baca misses the scoring opportunity in the middle. Instead, he attempts a pass downfield which is easily blocked by a defender.

[WRONG CHOICE]
Baca should have passed to Beitashour in the middle, creating a dangerous scoring opportunity at the top of the penalty box. His pass should have been delivered slightly off the ground to make it more difficult for the defender to block the ball.

A well-executed pass into the middle to Beitashour would have created a dangerous goal scoring opportunity. Instead, Baca misses the pass and the goal scoring opportunity is lost.
--- Bale and Real Madrid ---
Here Gareth Bale receives the ball in space. At this point Bale has several options:
1) Play a through pass for Isco
2) Find Jese behind the defense
3) Pass to Ronaldo
4) Take a Shot
Which choice would you make?
Result: Bale chooses option #4, taking a shot himself.
[WRONG CHOICE]
Although Bale could score from long distance, he has better attacking options.
Because Manchester City's right fullback is keeping both Isco and Jese onside,
Option #1) Playing a through pass for Isco, or
Option #2) Finding Jese behind the defense,
are probably the best choices.
Either option could result in an excellent goal scoring opportunity for Real Madrid.
--- Barcelona Goal ---
Here Suarez receives the ball out wide. His best option is to pass to Neymar, who is making a run toward goal. But a pass directly to Neymar will force him to stop to receive the ball, slowing down the attack.
How would you pass to Neymar without slowing down the attack?

Suarez solves the problem by passing through the defender's legs, allowing Neymar to maintain his speed while moving the attack forward.
Once Neymar receives the pass, he has two options:
1) Take the ball to goal
2) Pass to Messi
Which choice would you make?
[Pause]
Neymar takes both options:
First he takes the ball to goal, drawing the defender AND the goalkeeper toward him, which leaves Messi open in the middle.
Neymar then passes to Messi, who is now unmarked and scores with ease.

Without knowing these teams, I was like oh Suarez has ball, I've heard of that guy he's great, why would he pass to anyone? Then they mention Neymar.. And I was like of course Neymar! Everyone knows Neymar and he should be the guy scoring the ball. Then they mention Messi on same team. WTF.. These club teams are better than national teams.

Step 2, curve the ball but don't lift it in the air to much.

Unfortunately not right now. They take a long time to make and don’t necessarily get that many views. There’s also copyright issues because UEFA and others like to claim our videos 😡
We’re going to bring it back but probably in a format that’s easier for us to edit. Perhaps later this year.

bale in the second clip made the right descision even if he didnt score.there was a lot of space in front and bale is a prolific shooter.his ability to enter such place and shoot without hesitation makes a good players.same with many strikers
During the first example even with the pass suggested the player isnt in a good position to receive that kind of pass. I would argue passing out wide would be better because 1. Keeps possession and 2. Chance for a cross

I know this is late, but actually the first clip the guy was correct with his pass. It is unfortunate that it didnt go through but the pass you suggested was to complicatedas the defense can easily block it and wouldve cut off the runners momentum. The guy shouldve put a bit height and more pace to the through ball.

Looking at Bale's option, i would say pass to Ronaldo is the best option.
1. Through to isco is probably not gonna work as first is not bale's style to play a chip through. Also isco is not ready to receive the pass from bale after he just passed to Bale, the momentum has ended.
2. Making a through to Jese is also no an option because firstly, standing behind two defenders would take risk to pass the ball, easy tackle for the centre back. also Jese was standing right there not making a run.
3. Pass to ronaldo would be the option since is being marked with only right back. According to ronaldo ability, he could make a shot from his position as that is his fav area.

4:46 notice how Neymar does a shoulder check to look for Messi before he had the ball. Without looking, it would be difficult for Neymar to get the pass.
