The most common response/feedback I get to applications is that other candidates 'had more experience'. I have a degree in ID and volunteering experience but there's only so much volunteering I can afford to do! I wish NGOs realised they need to train and invest in young people rather than bringing older people with more experience in as one day the younger guys will be taking over and won't know how to do things.. :/

Whilst being young is good, no one will really send an inexperienced person out there in the line of fire to represent their organisation.
