i have to comment... the way she comes out, sings and interacts with the crowd,like she was just a simple woman....that s her Aura,her Charisma...she is a living Legend,i mean...she goes to the public, gives them time while she sings, this Woman is so amazing....now i get,why she inspired so many (MJ included) ...the crowd is in Love with her,and so are we all..this is how you do a show

Diana Ross is a star and has great charisma.
But when Gladys Knight and the Pips were the opening act on tour with Dianna Ross and the Supremes, Dianna couldn’t live with Gladys. The crowds were always all calling for Gladys.
So, Dianna called Berry Gordy and asked him to recall Gladys back to Detroit.

Gladys Knight is not known as the Empress of Soul for nothing.
On Mary Wells: Mary was Motown’s first real star (with Smokey writing and producing her hits). But she left Motown over disputes about royalties.
On Brenda Holloway: Brenda was brought to Motown (and was billed as Motown’s next star) to replaced Mary Wells. Brenda re-recorded some of the Smokey produced tracks that Mary had recorded, but which hadn’t been released by the time Mary left Motown.
Very quickly, Berry considered Brenda had ‘an attitude’ and she was soon side-lined and so she too left Motown.
Diana Ross got Berry’s full attentions because she was sleeping with him and had a daughter to him, Rhonda.
As I said earlier, Diana Ross is a star and has great charisma.
She also, has a voice that is attractive to men (like you and me), but she is not a great soul singer. She is a great pop singer.

Yeah. So true. She earned every accolade. Barbra & Whitney are in that league. Those 3 w/star power (u can’t learn that), talent & passion for singing (always live) & performing. We lost Whitney too soon & Diana is still touring. Barbra seems to have pivoted to more alone time w/her husband. What are we going to do when they & Dionne & Gladys & Patti are gone? Tina has gone into seclusion for health reasons. No one really REALLY sings anymore…& plz don’t even try me with Mariah, Celine or Beyoncé.
This is an amazing concert recording. I felt almost like I was there...the way she connected with her audience...she owns her audience everywhere she goes, even to this day!
All the singers of today take notes. This is a master class in how give a performance. Simply devine. Perfection 💝

THIS is music; this is a real concert; this is the way music was meant to be. She is an absolute amazing true professional and in my opinion there isn't anyone that can do it the way she does. She does dress changes and everything. I saw her many years ago in concert in my small city compared to where she normally plays and it's something I will never forget. I love concerts but nothing compares to her concert!

What a set and rapport with the audience! Outside of Smokey Robinson, Donny Hathaway (and possibly Stevie Wonder), it is rare to see an artist set their playlist entirely on the whims of the audience . . . this was the best concert I've ever seen Diana Ross give! (And that includes her Central Park set). And the crowd is completely feeling her! She has come a long way from her Sipreme days when she filled her act with shortened medleys of her hits and show tunes! (Plus the songs are up to date!) 5 Stars! *****

It's funny how I always thought Beyoncé was the first to do a lot of things with show presents but these celebrities have been doing hints with the audience and engaging them from the start lol
beyonce parents grew up in the 60s/70s.so these were their idols....Beyonce grew up not only on her idols from 80s/90s but her parents as well. They even stated that they envisioned her in the light of Motown acts. Beyonce studied her idols very well.go watch donna summer as well as tina turner concerts
