    looks great - one quick q - how do you wash it , just throw in the washing machine?

    • @manangilokana7297
      @manangilokana7297  Před 3 lety

      I never tried washing it yet since I made this rug but I will not recommend throwing in the washing machine. You could hand wash it using garden hose if you have it and hang outside to dry.

    This is terrific! I've been looking for something that did not take a particular skill (like crochet or macrame) that I had to spend a lot of time learning before I could make anything. I just wanted something productive to do with my hands while I listen to audiobooks, radio dramas, or watch a movie. This is perfect, and doesn't take a bunch of specialized tools I don't already have! Thank you for sharing your skill!
    Oh, and what size of t-shirts did you use?

    Its real beautiful. But liner mat isnt very strong. Wouldnt it tear? How do u "lock" those 2 pieces together?

    • @manangilokana7297
      @manangilokana7297  Před 3 lety

      You could get the stronger grip liner that would last than what I used. They only had one kind at dollar general and I just wanted to show. 2:30 is how to lock the 2 pcs. together.

    Great tutorial mam! I'd love to make one of these and I have cats, are these washable in any way? Would I have to apply latex on the backing so patches don't come out? Thanks for the tutorial :)

    • @manangilokana7297
      @manangilokana7297  Před rokem +1

      Yes, they are washable, I used a cheap grip liner here, you can find a better one so that you can wash it in your washing machine. No, you don't have to apply latex on the backing, they're pretty tight they don't come out easily. Thank you for watching.

    Can I ask you how do you wash these? Can they be placed in the washing machine to wash? should they be washed it on hot or cold water? Can they be dried in the dryer? And/or only hung up on line outside to dry?

    • @manangilokana7297
      @manangilokana7297  Před rokem +1

      I got the cheap grip liner so I don't wash it in the washing machine, I wash it using hose and hang up outside. Maybe you can wash it in the washing machine if you use stronger grip liner, I never tried mine cuz I know the grip liner that i used is not strong enough. Thank you for watching.
