I'm honored that my video was shown as an example on how content gets stolen and profited off of so infuriatingly easily, it's an issue I've also been battling for a long time.
My content has been stolen dozens of times ever since 2014, and I know for certain I'm not the only one.

7:12 This does bring up a good point though. Compiling content has always been a valuable service for viewers, even going back to the time of ebaums world and the early internet. Her reactions don't matter much since she is just doing that so she can use the content under fair use and monetize it. You can find vine or tiktok compilation videos without reactions, but if any of the creators cared to they probably could get the videos taken down as they don't have much of a case for fair use. Right now we don't really have a good way to have compiled content like this on youtube other than reaction channels. And as long as there is a void of something people want, there will be someone filling it. Thank you friend.
I would recommend Tom Scott's video on copyright and fair use, really helpful to understand all this. Even has some help in it for how to fight it

Ray William Johnson stopped doing his show after he lost a lawsuit, confirming that it's not Fair Use to just uncritically repost viral content with "wow, that's crazy" as your only "commentary". Both his and Sssniperwolf's videos exist to capitalize off of the experience of the original material, not by creating a new experience through commentary. People watch it to see the tiktoks and viral clips, not her commentary. If any one of the original owners sued her, they could win the similar to the RWJ case.

This is exactly why Daily Dose of Internet pays for a "Forever Use" on videos he's found. I think he pays a few hundred dollars for each video. He's like the prime example of how to do real exposure, have a reasonable business expenditure AND avoid copyrights/lawsuits

Well, I do believe that dumb nonsense has a right to exist. I'm quite the weeb myself, and I can tell you that not every anime I watch is a masterpiece. Sometimes brainless fun is just ... fun.

I know she and her 12 year old fans will say you're clout-chasing, but I respect you for using the attention to spread awareness, as well as reiterating what Fair Use is. Unfortunately, no one (with power) working for CZcams seems to know what that is anymore. A film reviewer who worked on a high quality video review for weeks or months gets smacked down for using a six second clip from the movie they're discussing while SSniperwolf can steal content every day without consequences.

As an artist who gets their work stolen all of the time, cheers for supporting and spreading the message of respecting and appreciating the original creators. So often people think they can just take whatever they find on the internet as theirs, which is just not how things work. Really sad that YT is actually promoting her too. @@omni2670 As a creator, the short answer I can give you is: it's complicated. There's a lot about being a creator that is difficult to explain to people who aren't one. But basically, options are limited for this type of platform, YT's brand recognition brings in viewers, moving people off platform is impossible, etc. All platforms suck, YT isn't unique there, they just suck in ways that others don't. But being vocal about issues, especially with fan support, is what helps bring about change. So keep making noise :)

You can get more help on CZcams with this type of stuff, because they have a strict copyright system. Free booting on this site is nearly impossible if you put in a bit of effort. Nothing prevents people from just taking it to Facebook or TikTok, and there you are pretty much fucked regarding that type of stealing.
I was at Vidcon Anaheim last month, I attended a talk titled something like "Video Intros are out, Say Hello to the Video Start!" It was all about how you shouldn't introduce what you're going to do in your video, you should just start it. Just jump right into the content. I struggled with that idea since I'm an education creator and it's usually a good idea to tell people what they're in for, but hey, I'm here to learn, right? Guess who they used as the prime example of the Video Start. Sssniperwolf. I was kind of bummed, I was hoping to see the concept put into action. But when your content is just reacting to tiktoks, yeah, it's probably very easy to just go for it. It's not like the audience cares what the video is "about."

I found her channel as a teen when her whole personality was insulting other women or even young girls for their bodies, face, basically anything that person can't change right away.
