Funny what you said about the light blue racquet. My Dad picked that one up a few months back. He was a 4.5 player for a long time, but is turning 75y.o. this year and needed a racquet that was slightly more forgiving and easier on the arm. He hits well with it, and really likes the frame.
After trying (and buying) few of them, i have found the one with the Ki15 300. Spectacular frame, just awesome. Powerful, spinny, but with adequate control. Such a versatile and arm-friendly frame. Well done PK
Q+ Tour Pro 315: great for flat hitting and backhand slicing, attacking frame.
Black Ace 300: several people swear by it. I personally didn't click with it as it seemed to me it required to be hit with more topspin than I do.
Ki5 295: insane level of control on the forehand side. excellent on backhand slices. One needs to find a lively string to get easier depth.
The Q+5 (X) is very intereesting. I'd like to try the 27 inch version of it. I love the 16*20.
My favorite is the Ki5 295.
So glad you did this episode. I had a hard time finding out more details about this brand online
Fantastic interview. I’m looking forward to trying out some of these racquets!
I had the first black ace, loved it.😊
i've been using the Q5 Ki for a couple of months now while recovering from tennis elbow and I really like the playability of it, i was surprised how nice it feels
Great racquets. I used a Ki 5 315 for several years. It really helped with my arm problems.
I have a chronically bad elbow and LOVE my ProKennex Black Ace 300. In addition to being flexible like a Wilson Clash, it has the kinetic technology for comfort and arm/elbow protection. It has more control than a Clash and an old school feel. The just slightly headlight balance really suits my baseline game. I hope Harry does a playtest of some ProKennex racquets.
Please bring back the Pro Kennex heritage laver Type C 98/93 and redondos players would welcome that line back with open arms!
Such a good one!
Bring back the Redondo Mid. Love mine. Would love to pick up a few more.
Interesting forsure! Thanks guys 🙏 nice racquets 🎾 I would have liked to hear all of what this man had to say about the company tho
Got to know about Pro Kennex through Tennis Spin. After looking at their lineup, I decided to go with the Q+15, the light blue racket. I can see why it's popular. To my delight when I got to a local store, I found out that the Q+15 also came in black (the latest update). It is also the most heavily stocked Pro Kennex model at the local store! I got myself the black color one.
O G Black Ace for OG''s only
Very interesting, enjoyed the person explaining their marketing, too bad it was cut short
and as a bonus, you can use it as a maracas in your mariachi band.
So, is this means the ProKennex racquets have lead beads inside?
i'm still rocking the 90s Destiny... aka Pure Drive
Do ProKennex manufacture their own racquets or do they outsource it like all other companies except Yonex?
The company he couldn’t mention is solinco and the racquets his talking about is the blackout/whiteout. specially I think what he’s referring to it’s blackout 300 which is what the first racquet is based on.
@@Bingobangoitsjamesfrancoya I thought the same Wasn’t it the Destiny
It is not Solinco but Babolat. The original Pure Drive was from a ProKennex Destiny mold. Just like Solinco, Babolat was originally just a string manufacturer and then entered the racquet market much later. (Many years ago...)
The maracas racquets
The Black Ace 105 (my new racquet) is very similar to the Q+ 15 (my old racquet) but a little more playable and a lot cooler looking.
Love this racquet, but can't find replacement grommets
@@maderosandhi898 I assume they will be available soon. That's one way the Ace 105 looks better than the Q+15, the grommets look better/
Donnay and Fischer make the most arm friendliest rackets ever
These hurt my arm compared to prince phantoms.
The same problem they had 40 years ago? And endless array of colors and lines… Is it necessary? Definitely a completely different approach to marketing from leading brands like Babolat. Expanding the product line can widen your target audience and open up the customer base, BUT it helps Pro Kennex little with what they need the most: BRANDING! If only they were more consistent…
Not really though, just as babolat they’ve got three main lines; Black ace-line, Q+line, and the Ki-line. And then different models within each line.

C'mon man, let him talk. So rude!
