    I really think that the Yasuo was immediately tilted after he missed that first Q that would have gotten him the kill.
    Realizing he couldn't be the main character he runs it down hoping to get the kills he deserved, but it just made things worse.
    Pretty typical IMO.

      Yone for sure facilitated the win sure, but Broxah 1v4 the fight directly before that when they had no turrets and his team were dying. 17:04 So the title is correct bc they wouldn’t have even gotten to that fight without Broxah surviving that and killing those ppl 🤷🏾‍♀️
      If we want to contribute what Yone did as the reason they won then we need to also contribute it to the Soraka silence on Ornn or the Yone engage doesn’t even happen in the first place.

    Sort of Ahri main here, and I hate the Yasuo matchup. W start is fine, but you need to slow push to level 3 to prevent early all-ins and so you have time to get your charm up because without it he can all-in you any time. The most difficult and dangerous part is when the wave is pushing back to you since he can use the creep on the upcoming wave to dash on you, so it's better to just try to thin it and let it push back.
    You can get some harass in if you can bait out his wall. After level 3 it's very difficult to retain mid lane prio though, because of how he can block all your abilities to clear the wave. A lot of Yasuo players love to be annoying by for example blocking your ability to last hit the cannon with his wall. You can win 1v1 if they screw up badly, you do good damage as long you take short trades and once you are 6 there's outplay potential, but usually you need to play towards your team and not try to fall too behind. Also with Yasuo, he just outright outscales you and has better wave clear with a lot of safety from wall and shield, so it's just a losing matchup assuming he plays the lane perfectly sadly.
    Your best bet is to pick up some gold from good roams or getting ganks from your jungler, as a lot of Yasuo players often end up pressuring you under tower until you have enough wave clear to one shot the casters. Also unless you're stomping the lane, Everfrost is always the go to because of how it negates a lot of his mobility.
    Finally, I think Ionian > Sorc on Ahri. It just helps so much with ult and charm uptime. Your job is not to carry anyway but to provide utility to your team while doing decent damage, and Ionian is perfect for that.

      Just ban yasou!

    • @OneEyedManKingdomOfTheBlind
      @OneEyedManKingdomOfTheBlind Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yasuo is just statistically one of Ahri’s worst matchups. You should just ban him because of how likely he is to be played, but also because Yasuo players will tend to fall back to Yone, who is countered BY Ahri.

    • @Kamishi845
      @Kamishi845 Před 9 měsíci +1

      I wouldn't say that Yone is countered by Ahri, but it's a noticeably better matchup because Yone's laning phase is so much weaker than Yasuo's, and his kit is much more telegraphed and therefore easier to read and react to. Yone also outscales you though, and once he has Berserker Greaves, he can put out a lot of pressure if he knows what he's doing, because his 3Q CD becomes short enough to harass you more than you can harass him back. It's also a losing matchup for Ahri in the long-term, but feels more fair because of how much weaker Yone is during the laning phase.
      If you're even or behind against Yone, Everfrost will help you prevent some of his all-ins and if you must, Zhonya is also a possible option, though if you are caught in any of his CC come mid to late game, you'll likely to die even if you have Zhonya. So I think the better option is to not play with items that compensate for bad positioning by getting a Zhonya and instead just run Everfrost. It is also possible to block Yone's all-in with a charm even from his ult because it's still considered a dash rather than a blink, but it's *very* difficult to time.
      Personally I am also against banning difficult matchups when you are a new player, because it prevents you from actually learning the matchup long-term. Ahri has a couple of bad matchups, most of them assassins such as Zed and Fizz. Zed is a skill matchup and Ahri has outplay potential, but he's very hard to properly punish because Zed's kit is just fundamentally punishing if you make a mistake. As for Fizz, the annoying part about Fizz is that his ult is about 10-15 seconds shorter than yours, so even if you survive a first all-in, he has a 10-15 second window where he can punish your lack of ult meaning if you also don't have flash, chances are he will just kill you.
      And obviously, falling behind vs any assassin feels very bad in lane due to her ability to straight up 100 to 0 you from that point onward.
      In terms of assassin matchups, Katarina and Qiyana are not *as* bad as long as you understand how their champions work. With Katarina you can always dodge her daggers with your W speed and ult dash, and since she always blinks behind you, if you are very mechanically proficient, you can always land your charm on her after she does so for a good counterplay. Qiyana is quite linear in how she wants to engage and it's also one of the reasons why she's played less in low elo imo.
      Out of the mid lane assassins, Akali also deserves a mention which is a skill matchup similar to Zed, but her mobility can be quite frustrating to deal with.
      It's rare you'll get a kill though there's some cheese kills under tower for sure, but as long you stay neutral and don't get behind her in CS and kills you technically win the lane.
      A lot of concepts apply across the board here, which is to play slow until level 3 and try to poke harass the enemy when they go for CS, preferably proc'ing your electrocute while doing so. After level 3 your goal is to stay as healthy as possible while whittling them down as much as possible so you can prevent an all-in.
      Some other matchups that I think deserve a mention are Irelia and Diana who just outright beat you with their base stats. Irelia is literally an unplayable lane early on. It's Yasuo but on crack (go figure that she also dumpsters Yasuo in the same way). Luckily not a lot of people play Irelia mid especially in low elo, but it will definitely teach you a lot about proper spacing.
      Diana is tricky because technically the matchup favors Ahri but only if you avoid her Q poke while getting poke back in on her. She outscales you later but it plays out more similar to the Yone matchup in that it feels fair early but horrible later.
      As for mages, two matchups that are absolutely horrible to play against are Xerath and Annie. Annie feels fair early because of her poor wave clear, but once she has an item she can literally 100-0 you with no counterplay because of her point and click stun. If I had to choose one champion that I legitimately think is a direct counter to Ahri, I'd pick Annie any day of th week. It's deceptive because it feels like you can win this lane due to her weaker wave clear early, but in team fights her stun utility and upfront damage just performs so much better than yours. The only strength you have over her is your greater mobility, but otherwise she's just as capable of making good picks as you are.
      Xerath just outpokes you, nothing you can do about it. It's completely unwinnable unless he can't land his skill shots. Other similar matchups along this vein are Anivia and to a degree Vel'koz and Lux.
      It's a bit of a myth that Ahri's strength is that she doesn't have a lot of bad matchups because she does. I honestly think it's more that she doesn't have a lot of good matchups that is compensated by having an equal amount of really bad ones. For example, relative to other mages, Ahri still does better into say Yasuo than they do, because her mobility and self peel just helps the matchup a lot. If you're a more immobile mage like Vel'koz and make the same positional mistake vs Yasuo, you're just dead whereas Ahri has some escape potential.
      The key to playing Ahri effectively is to understand that while her laning isn't particularly strong it's also not extremely weak e.g. it's not Veigar or Asol level of weak early game, and that her R gives her some outplay potential when it comes to dealing with more difficult matchups. I wouldn't say the matchup feels better, but it helps in negating the enemy getting more of a lead. In other words, Ahri is great at creating a neutral game state by accelerating her team in other areas of play. Notably, Ahri is not a 1v9 solo carry champion and while she can 1v9 if you really manage to pop off, in a majority of your games you'll find yourself in this neutral game state where you may be even to your enemy mid laner in terms of gold eco but still feel weaker than they do e.g. you do less upfront damage than they do.
      Your job as Ahri is to be a support for your jungler, which mostly comes from her strength in skirmishes since a good charm can completely turn a fight, and her mobility and good wave clear lets her get there before anyone else does. You will also notice if you pay attention that the games where you perform the worst are also the games where your jungler is very behind so there's just no team for you to support. Vex is another mid laner that also suffers from this problem but not as much as Ahri.
      Sorry for the novel but I'm just very passionate about Ahri. I think she's a decent soloq champion but I wish she wasn't in the awkward spot where her performance wasn't as tied to your team's.

Although, for what it's worth: this Yasuo player encompasses the fragile mental state of all Yasuo players from Iron IV to Diamond. He could've just pushed Broxah out of lane so many times, take whole turret, but no! Wards: don't exist. Jgl tracking: doesn't exist. Enemy cooldowns: Don't exist. Mash that E and Q boy. Painful to watch it works nonetheless.

    When I play mid, in silver, I have to deal with Yasuo players like this. They are exactly as clean with their skills, and play just as ultra aggressively. I never was very good at dealing with them, I think they're smurfs, but I learned the patient approach tended to work, holding back my skills, and slamming him with everything, and baiting him to tower dive to get him killed. They are like Draven smurfs, they always ultra tilt when you outplay them. I am a Lux player, so I think what you are doing here works too for my champ, I do tend to die at least a few times to stupid ganks like what Elise did early, so I'm glad it's not just me being bad.
    Man actually... The way the team moves... This is masters but they play exactly like people in my silver games. At least some of the games. I don't understand.
