- Hyper-realistic 3D ads have been stunning passersby on busy streets in China recently. The creative campaigns blur the lines between technology and reality while showcasing that creativity in advertising really is limitless.
But Chinese really know how to take everything to the next level, Splendid light shows illuminate the sky in cities like Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan, Shenzhen and Qingdao to celebrate special dates in the country. Ever since the spectacular light show in 2008 to open the Beijing summer Olympics, Chinese cities have been generating a craze for staging large-scale light extravaganzas.

Why is this not shown on our TV or news? Nothing of such Chinese technology is ever seen or known in Australia. Shame on our government 😢. Love to Chinese technology ❤❤❤❤
Western media will only report what the U.S. government want you to hear. Which is fake news and anti China narratives.
Because our master the US, won't allowed anything positive from China
to be shown on our news on printed medias.
Too bad your government and media are anti-china and follow the US bidding. Show this video to your friends about what China is like. Really hope your government and media can stop all the bashing and work with China for a better world.
because your so called democracy government only wants you to view China as your enemy
The new they only want :“China,BAD”
American saying Chinese stole our technology, that's why US doesn't have this type show in any city of USA 🎉😢
That's why the US doesn't have a space station 'cuz China has stolen and made it Chinese.😂😂😂😂
Well, it has one in New York's Time Square, but it's not wide spread throughout US because it costs a lot of money to setup this fancy 3D animation unless it's for advertisement.

Good to learn more about China from these reports. China is a forward-looking country. Chinese high school seniors just finished the gruelling matriculation exams. Doubtless youths immersed in China's rapid progress will have a very different outlook than their counterparts in "the west", who are still trying to recover from 3 years of the traumatic pandemic, troublesome politics like the Trump indictment, drug problems and gun violence, and the impact of the Ukraine war. Interesting and challenging time.
Dude, you need to broanden your horizon. Even China is struggling post Covid to this day. Lower birth rate, lowest unemployment, lowered growth rate and etc
Low birth rate isn’t exclusively to China, wonder why America are overturned ROE v WADE & BANNED abortion, problem is , the rate they’re killing each other’s.. (schools shooting, won’t help if crazies with guns keep killing children). they can’t FORCED women to BREED fast enough..🙄

When the last US TV manufacturer, Admiral, folded around the 1990s the company said "there's no money to be made in TV". The Chinese picked up bits and pieces and innovated and now their TVs are on par with Japanese and Korean TVs at 1/3 the cost. IBM sold their PC business to China in the late 1990s and the CEO Getsner said exactly the same thing, "There's no money to be made (in the PC business)." Now, Lenovo, is either the 1st or 2nd biggest PC maker in the world. Sure, there's no money to be made in anything, unless you innovate and add new features to it. Giant billboard LED displays are a new thing and the Chinese are going big in that such that there's hardly any competitors.

No . Actually in the future. 🎉
I agree with you and recently is growing everywhere with no exception in Shanghai and it is amazing to see the city starting the light all at almost the same time, LED Display are the future and it's getting more affordable even in virtual production some studio here are very well equipped. Bravo China !! Go go go !!

How do they make the LED screen pictures look so three dimensional?
Nowadays China streets are much cleaner and safer than US streets. czcams.com/video/hv8vFS7rXpc/video.html
Not only street cleanness and safety, China has overtaken US in many other areas.
Take life expectancy of both China and US as example. In 1950 China life expectancy is about 38 vs US 68. After 71 years, in 2021 China life expectancy is 78.2 vs US 76.1( latest figure by CDC , US life expectancy dropped by 3 in 2020-2021 period from 79.1 originally). China expectancy increase by 40 years while US increase by 8 years only. China life expectancy increase 5 time faster than US.
Also Look at health care by comparing MMA rate( maternal mortality rate): in 1950 China maternal mortality is 1500 women death per 100,000 birth vs US 100 women death per 100,000 births. In 2021, China MMA is 16.1 vs US 23.8 per 100,000 (the lower the number , the better health care service level) .
Infant mortality rate: in 1950 China infant mortality is 195 death per 1000 birth vs US 26.8 death per 1000 births. In 2021, China infant mortality rate drop to 5 per 1000 vs US 5.4 per 1000 birth.
In fact among top 10 population countries, China’s life expectancy is longest 78.2 years old vs US 76.1 and India 70, Indonesia 71.7, Pakistan 67.3, Brazil 75.9, Nigeria 54.7, Bangladesh 72.6, Russia 73.1, Mexico 75.
And people in China retire at 55 years old on average to access pension. About 12 years earlier than US's 67 years requirement while some countries may not have pension at all. It means an American need work extra 40*52*12=25,000 hrs in his life than an average person in China. It also means an American only has 9 years to enjoy retirement while an average person in China has 22 years to enjoy retirement.
Also it is not means or asset tested when access pension in China. It means you get your pension monthly even you stay overseas, are a multi-millionaire or have another job after retirement.
Can confirm China is crazy about LED. Their entire city light up by LED.
Tech makes life beautiful, we love new techs like these fantastic LEDs.

3d content led screen
nice chopping malls but it looks like 70% are empty and not many customers
It says this type of anamorphic content was first captured in China, but a company called d'strict is the one that actually started it which is based in South Korea. Starting with The Wave at COEX in Gangnam, Korea, they did a lot of artworks internationally including the waterfall one in New York Times Square.
These things come up in Shinjuku Japan years ago, come on!
The thing with manufacturing, if you're not manufacturing, you're not innovating. If you're outsourcing, then except in rare situations, you're not innovating. Take Henry Ford for instance. If he was outsourcing, would he have come up with the idea of the assembly line? That is where the West's corporatist capitalism centred on short term economic gains become long term costs. The bean counters are great with money matters, but are clueless as to how the real world and people operate. They need to study history in conjunction with their MBAs.
How much does it cost for entrance fee?
It's by the street side, totally free.
Free. They are normally located in the CBD and other commercial centres. They broadcast ads most time, occasionally with a 3D effect animation for attracting people to visit.
I even did not find out where the LED panel lies, I live in Shenzhen for more than 10 years
I have been to the one in Guangzhou. Beijing Rd Guangzhou
_Man, how much energy they use to run in just one city?!_
Many use green energy, like solar. The government provides subsidies or tax credit for installing solar panels in buildings.
Led doesn't take up much energy.
China generates the most electricity in the world, nearly twice as much as the second largest country, the United States. China's residential electricity costs are among the lowest in the world.
ow much energy we use to run our computers and phones?

Are the cities in China dangerous at night, like the USA cities?
A girl can walk outside alone at night.
China is the safest country in the world
Much safer than in the USA, objectively speaking.
@@tynixcal309 I thought that might be the case. USA is so dangerous, the government under reports the number of murders. ... justifiable homicide is not counted in murder rate. Hundreds of thousands of people missing. Tens of thousands kidnapped, and that is not counting the brown and black people kidnapped by the police and put in prison, even when they break no law.
China quickly become a Cyberpunk dystopian settin!
They are beautiful but with today's sky high energy price, I doubt its practical to have those lights unless China develops a new and more cheaper energy source instead of the fossil based.
In 2022, the power generation of clean energy such as hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power will be 2959.9 billion kWh, thousands of times that of the United States

We are willing to do so, deal with it.
Ok the Chinese are doing good work learning from Japan! It’s original 3D images hails from Japan instead of China. But China copies fast as they have the resources.
What's wrong with that? If you see something good others are doing, won't you try to learn and replicate it? Don't you know that Japan learnt a lot from China in the past? Where do you think the Japanese characters came from? Those are Chinese Calligraphy originally.

Japan was the first place to have those screens, in Shibuya. There's even a live stream here on youtube that show the screen 24/7, been around for a few years. There's a much smaller version of those screens that existed for roughly 15 years. Its called the Nintendo 3DS....China copies other countries and spends a lot of money to build many of them.
Ah yes yes, Tech critics and historics. What's your point?
@@edwardhochwand9063 If you dont know the point then you should educate yourself before replying.
They actually weren’t though LOL. How to sound like you’re right but you’re wrong. The first ones were in Korea by Samsung. You only think it was because it’s “Japan” but Japan hasn’t been technologically advanced in decades lmao
@@notmybusiness3055 The one in South Korea called WAVE was built at the same time as the Calico Cat in Shibuya. Just an FYI. Like i said, smaller version of those screens were on Nintendo 3DS which released in 2011 and was the first commercially available 3D screen that did not require glasses to see the 3D image.
@@notmybusiness3055 New York Times Square just installed the world's first 3D ROBOTIC billboard (for Coca Cola). So China is trailing behind on that technology as well.
Robotic Billboard in simple terms is when the entire screen has many sections that are able to dynamically pop out and retract.
