However, I am not an Arabic Speaker and therefore I am not able to appreciate the full Beauty of the Quran in it's original Arabic State. As an arabian muslim, every time I read the Quran, and specifically reading the same "Surah / chapter" I find deeper and amazing meanings that makes me wonder how I didn't notice it before, the more I search about the roots of a word in Arabic and it's true meaning, the more new heart capturing meanings and understanding I discover and reach. so many times I have cried tears of joy when I reach this point.
Makes me wish everybody learns Arabic not just to discover the wonders of the Quran only, but also because it's such a beautiful and rich language.
NOTE: I thank God I found your channel, it made it much easier for me to explain Islam for my non muslim friends around the world.

Try watch Arabic shows or news, go to Arabic restaurants or cafes! Read newspapers. Connect with the culture make it easier for you to learn, if you mary educated Arabic speaking would be great but has to be based on love and respect

I'm learning classic Arabic since I was 12 until 18, Qur'an is truly amazing, not because I'm Muslim but it's because it is amazingly beautiful. I can't describe it. There's many discipline for us to learn to understand the beauty of the Qur'an : Arabic language, nahwu, sharf, balaghoh, ilmu Kalam, ulumul Qur'an, ilmu Mantiq and many more.
What are those disciplines ?

I like the way you analyze and question things. This makes one's belief stronger, so you understand and you value the things that you do, instead of just doing things blindly. The Quran constantly reminds us to think and to reflect and this is how you discover the beauty of Islam. Wonderful work, keep it up.
As a 32 year old Arab, who recently converted back to Islam after having discovered the beauty of the Quran and learning more about our faith beyond what we were taught at school; I must say that there are things I read that are truly fascinating -- that I expected to be included in the video. I mean, don't get me wrong; the video is great and I did learn some things! But I've been enjoying an aspect in the Quran that I don't hear people talk about it enough. Specifically, the double-meaning words and sentence structures, where a single word in a sentence can have different meanings, which in turn gives the sentence different lights and meanings beyond the initial (intended) meaning. This happens in nearly every sentence I read! It is beyond poetry and philosophy. There are things that are/would be difficult to understand, let alone translate! I find its eloquence truly remarkable and, as an English literature student who is also fluent in Arabic and familiar with major literary works, unlike anything out there. Moreover; I find that reading it and listening to it are completely different experiences when it comes to understanding it, deciphering its meanings, and appreciating it. Also, listening to different recitations gives different "vibes" that are unique to each reader.

By “shown him the two ways” it means shown him what is right and what is wrong
From the famous early mufasireen: (And shown him the two ways) This refers to the two paths. Sufyan Ath-Thawri narrated from `Asim, from Zirr, from `Abdullah bin Mas`ud that he said, وَهَدَيْنَـهُ النَّجْدَينِ (And shown him the two ways) "The good and the evil." Similar to this has been reported from `Ali, Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, `Ikrimah, Abu Wa'il, Abu Salih, Muhammad bin Ka`b, Ad-Dahhak, and `Ata' Al-Khurasani among others.

I am well versed in standard literary Arabic and in English. I live in Canada and I took it upon myself as a life goal to teach basic Arabic, to non-Arabs and Arabs alike, for reciting and understanding al-Qur’an and would be pleased to teach you as well. I do not teach Arabic to the general public if their purpose is to learn it for reasons other than understanding the word of God. If you’re patient enough, with time you should be able to verify the claims you heard today and a lot more yourself without outside aid in sha Allah.
I am a catholic italian priest well versed in standard literary arabic and in English.( A.M: in english).I have been 52 years in islamic countries( Lebanon,Egypt,Phalestine...)I wonder how you muslims are so proud of the arabic language of the Coran.It is a " book " full of grammmar and synthetic mistakes.There is plenty of sentences of which you do not understand the meaning.The paragraphs and the verses are disconnected so you can not understand the meaning of the paragraphs.The content of each sura is vague because it tells about so many a subject that you cannot understand what is the whole sura about.Take for example the sura of the cow.Roughly you have all the subjects of the Qoran in one Sura.Any student of the third grade(3 preparatory) would not have written such a piece of composition.Do not be proud of what is not worth.

One of the most amazing cinematic verses in Quran is in Surat “Al-Adiyat (100)”.
Imagine in six words you can lay out a full cinematic scene that you need to describe probably hundreds of words.
The English translation of Quran can not interpret unfortunately even 1% of the proper Arab understanding at the age of revelation, because those Arabs were among the best who understood and used the language which was reflected in their poems
The verses are as follows
١ وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا1 By the racers panting. (Aladiyat Dabha )
٢ فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا2 Igniting sparks. (Falmouriyat Kadha)
٣ فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا3 Raiding at dawn. (Falmogirat Subha)
Now we will take each words and reflect the understanding of those Arabs at that time.
Verse 1 has two words
Aladiyat Dabha -
Aladiyat means the animals that can go fast or running fast, which could be used by humans for riding and for the Arabs they know two specific animals which are the camels and horses. The word by itself reflects that these animals are running together at a fast speed, but also reflects the purpose of running fast which could be running away from something, running fast because they are racing, or running fast because they want to reach a destination as fast as possible, otherwise the Arabs care too much for their animals and they are afraid that those animals will be hurt so they tend not to hurt them for no reason.
The second word Dabha, means in Arabic the sound of water boiling, but when you use it next to first word which means animals running fast, it only means the special sound of the horses making when they are running for long time and they are overloaded where they make this special sound as water boiling sound.
Now we understand in these two words the following
Al-Adiyat Dabha - there are more than 10 horses with people on them that are running fast for a period of time most probably running to reach a destination as fast as possible with the knowledge of the riders that they are overloading their horses but the purpose is way more important
The second verse
Falmouriyat Kadha - means in simple terms igniting sparks. As horses wear horseshoe which is metal, if this metal is heated up to a certain degree it starts to make sparks or ignite a spark. But the terrain should be rocky and not sand, and arabs avoids to ride horses on rocky terrains because at any moment the horse can slide and brake his legs so the owner will lose him for all. And if they want to run fast with their horses, they do it always or the desert sand. So why they are running on a rocky terrain, either because they want to use a short cut risking their horses life for this purpose, or because they want to attack a tribe for example from a point they would not expect. The other issue, these sparks originated from the horseshoes, can not be seen unless it unless its dark night or before the sun rise, so the timing is set to be between night and before sunrise.
The third verse
Falmogirat Subha - Rading at Dawn, Subhan Allah, its confirmation for all the deductions assumed in the first two verses with four words.
So the scene now is as follows
There are more than 10 knights riding horses at the maximum speed, at dawn for the purpose of raiding another tribe and attacking them from a rocky terrain that they don’t expect in simple words, and the purpose of doing this is much more important than the risk of losing their horses or injuring themselves. The story goes on in the following verse to talk about the obedience and bravery of the horses and not the men riding them. Because horses risk their lives to obey and protect their knights.

I have many points to make but for the sake of briefing I'll make one point which is about the illiteracy of the prophet, there's consensus among the scholars that the prophet was indeed illiterate and this is backed up by many facts and evidences based on both the Qur’an and Hadith and the ijmaa of the ulama'
So those who try to deny this absolute truth, they realy must reject all the hadith that explicitly shows says the prophet is illiterate and they misinterpret explicit verses in the Qur’an like surah 62:2 or 7:157 which explicitly says"'the unlettered Prophet""
Also the arabic style of the Qur’an baffled the masters of Arabic at that time that they even called the prophet a magician for reciting those verses they said this is magic.
The second thing to be clarified is that illiteracy does not mean ignorance and lack of knowledge, for reading and writing are nothing but certain means of knowledge and learning, and the best evidence for this is the blind’s ability to acquire knowledge despite his inability to read and write, and the great ability of the Arabs was to memorize thousands of poetic verses despite Almost no reading and writing among them.

I think that your conception of the contradiction may be wrong, because when we say that the Qur’an does not contain a contradiction, this does not mean that it is a simple matter as you said that there are scientific books as we have now that there is no contradiction in it and this is true because it is based on correct scientific foundations, but the Qur’an is a book of miracles. It was written 1400 years ago with many topics and scientific miracles that were only discovered in our time, and with that, there is no word or any contradiction to its predecessor, although there is no scientific evidence to prove many miracles in their time...

Plus another important point worth mentionable is that it was an oral tradition. It was revealed orally to the prophet over a period of 23 years. And in those 23 years of oral tradition there are no contradictions

Hey Bobby, the challenge the Qur’aan poses to mankind to see if anyone can reproduce the like thereof, is absolutely a fascinating challenge that from most Arabic speakers will agree has never been achieved and nor will it ever be.
However I would just remind you that to really understand why the Qur’aan is so unique you need to understand the miraculous Arabic that’s used in the Qur’aan.
The way I’ve understood it as a non Arab Muslim is that of the Qur’aan’s miracles is that it employs use of so many literary devices (some of which are translatable to English - others are not), whilst keeping a completely sensible meaning (consider poetry and how some verses are there just to make a previous verse rhyme or flow but the verse itself holds little meaning) . And it does this with incredible accuracy and precision, whilst conveying a deep profound message that is consistent throughout the text. I think one surah you should look into in terms of the linguistic miracle is surah Maryam. It’s a beautiful surah that talks about the prophets and their stories, and it maintains a consistently soft and beautiful rhyming scheme until it comes to the story of Jesus where it then admonishes Christians for taking him as the Son of God. And the text turns harsh and as a warning.
There are a lot of people who go in depth when it comes to the literary articles used in the Quran but personally by far the best English speaker that explains this stuff is Nouman Ali Khan. I’d highly recommend watching some of his stuff.

I was trying to emphasise that Nouman Ali Khan’s approach regarding the linguistic beauty of the Quran and not the translation/tafseer side. And in the first comment. I did not say ALL THE TIME like you highlighted, the presentations from Nouman Ali Khan where he quotes and mentioned the authentic scholars/narrations are the ones referred in my line of ‘maintains the translation & tafseer’. That is why I didnt use all. But to be fair, it is pretty clear in the presentations where he didn’t quote/mention any referred sources for, he always disclaims in advance that what he is about to say is based on his personal study/research, hence always allow us to be aware for that particular part. Don’t think his viewers are easily mixed with his personal studies and orthodox scholars studies. The linguistic miracle of the Quran is basically not linked to the transmitted messages derived into the tafseers & translations. If someone is looking for a source to study tafseer, I wouldn’t have recommended Nouman Ali Khan. And based on the topic of this CZcams video, its pretty clear that the emphasis was linguistic miracles and its beauty which made me refer to Nouman Ali Khan. All the best.

In the begining when I started learning my Deen, I worried about my Aqeedah (creed) especially that I was not "armed" with enough knowledge (and still not)).
So, I simply filtered all the "suspected" brothers and Mashayekh (sheikhs) until I stand up upon a solid foundation.
Since then, I never went back to any of them. Alhamdulillah there are so many great Scholars who are upon the "right" way that no need to look up elsewhere..

The wordplay about Isaac and Jacob is understated. It implies that the writer had known Hebrew and mastered it to make a wordplay out of it in Arabic, for the analyzers.
"His wife standing, then laughed, so we prophesized Isaac to her" there was literally no need to mention her laughing!! Yet there it is! The name Isaac in Hebrew means the one who laughs.
"and BEHIND/AFTER Isaac, Jacob"
Jacob in Hebrew comes from "to follow, or to be behind".

@@XaeeD what's even more interesting is the fact that while the word dhikr and the name zakariyya are related to each other, in hebrew the dh at the beginning corroded into the letter zayin losing the dh sound. so unless the prophet knew the meaning of the name already or knew hebrew, he couldn't have made such subtle references.

If you are interested on the subject he's your guy. Even as an arabic speakers I .earned alot from him. As he take a verse and shows the multiple levels of miracles within it. Regarding the Al-Kafirun surah, some people will say that there is repitition within it.
I think the point is clear in the Surah. The true believer will/did/is always worship God alone ( Allah ) throughout the time, but the disbealivers will worship different Gods ( an idol, or money or whatever ).

Love the videos Bobby! The Quran mentions the name of the prophet Yahya in his origins in Hebrew (Yohanan), but the Quran does it subliminally. "and affection from us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah" [19:13]. Note that it says, "and affection". In Arabic, it's pronounced (Wa hananan). When you include where Allah SWT says Wa which means 'and' in Arabic, then you will get the original name (Yohanan). Wa hananan means 'and affection' or 'and compassion', and the Quran starts the verse with Wa. Only if you knew the context of the Jewish narrative, then you'll be able to catch the name. Even I as a native Arabic speaker did not catch these subliminal mentions without seeing them here because I never knew prophet Yahya's name in Hebrew. I wish the video had included the word 'and' in the Yahya part, maybe that would've been clearer for you. May Allah guide you to the straight path and give you clarity and peace.

2:46 By having no contradictions doesn’t mean that it’s from God…true, but having no contradictions isn’t a “Cause” for it being from God rather it’s an “Effect” of its divine origin. The reason why having no contradictions is very important because if a text is from God then it cannot have contradictions unlike the Bible.
It's certainly true that God speaks the truth, and so revelation should indeed be free of errors. This doesn't just pertain to the Qur'an, but any reader ought to extend that standard to any religious book that claims to be "from God". As such, it's not just a challenge to the non-Muslims to find a mistake in the Qur'an, but it's simultaneously challenging the same non-Muslims to apply the exact same (logical) standard to their own religious literature.
Nowadays, Christians will often say that this doesn't apply to the Bible, because the Bible is inspiration, written by mortal men, guided by the Holy Spirit. This is because they do not want to attract that kind of scrutiny. If they allow this standard to be applied to the Bible, they know it's going to be very difficult for them to defend the Bible. This is what modern Christians do, however, as yesterday's Christians used to believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, as well as in its infallibility. A position that has become increasingly more rare.

What many people don't know actually was that the Quran was revealed during the Jahiliya poetry era.
That is, till now, still the MOST eloquent and rich poetry era in arabic history!! The mastery of the arabic language that Arabs and especially the poets had back then is unlike any other era after, truly truly incomparable. when we study poetry from that time in school it is the hardest poetry to study because it is just so eloquent and so rich, and no poet can ever compete with the poets back then. they used to literally have "word battles" where they would freestyle the most eloquent pieces of poetry as part of the culture. Now imagine that those people, who have mastered the arabic language unlike any Arab ever in history, were bewildered by the miraculous linguistic power of the Quran, with many immediately realising that there is no other explanation except that this must be the word of a God, and thereafter submitting to Allah swt and His message.

In terms of your question about whether Jesus was sent to all people or the Israelites exclusively, Allah ﷻ addresses this in Surah As-Saff Verse 6:
“And ˹remember˺ when Jesus, son of Mary, said, “O children of Israel! I am truly Allah’s messenger to you, confirming the Torah which came before me, and giving good news of a messenger after me whose name will be Aḥmad.”
When addressing the mission of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Allah ﷻ stated in Surah Saba’ Verse 28:
“We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a deliverer of good news and a warner to all of humanity, but most people do not know.”
Allah ﷻ commanded Jesus to say, “O Children of Israel”, but in Surah Al-‘Araf Verse 158 He commanded the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
“Say, [O Muhammad], “O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, [from Him] to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.”
This is why the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said in an authentic Hadith on the authority of the Companion Jabir Ibn Abdullah: “Five things were given to me that were not given to any Prophet before me: I have been given victory through fear [spanning] a distance of one month; and the entire Earth has been made for me a place of prayer and purification such that whenever the time of Salah comes upon him, a man from my Ummah can pray wherever he is; and the booty of war has been made lawful for me; and each Prophet was sent to their respective people, and I was sent to all mankind; and I have been given the Intercession.”
