Here's the blotter update:
The G&Bs are easily dismissed. Silky Woods remains in sickly sweet mode (why is it called silky?). Purple Suede fades into a pale hint of leatheriness. Island Lush is marginally the most interesting of the three, thanks to the curious, Bulgari Black-style dryness I mention in the video. The two Givenchys stay quiet and skin-hugging, but they don't lose their shape. Foudroyant is especially successful: a haunting, gentle amber. Belle Ame dries down to an extremely attractive, powdery-soft tonka-vanilla. Douleur steals the show. Woody, resinous, musky. Complex and intriguing, with its soul in the past and its gaze firmly on the future.
