"Real Flutists" is an online webseries hosted by Flutronix and filmed at The Flute Center of New York. Each month "Real Flutists" features renowned stars of the flute in various genres. This webisode's guest is the legendary Hubert Laws in celebration of Black History Month!

Great interview, my thanks and appreciation to both of you ladies for this site. One of the highlights of my life came in 2009 at the NFA Convention when I came up behind Hubert while he was signing autographs and cd's and started playing his version of "Amazing Grace." I played the first chorus on the bass flute (Eva Kingma's large bore model) and Hubert jumped in and we played two more choruses together. An unforgetable experience! Thank you again ladies. Amazing Grace! Truly amazing, Hubert Laws is one of if not the best jazz flutist in the world followed up by his student Dave Valentin who, to me, the best latin afro-cuban flutist right now.

God's favorite instrument is Hubert Laws flute. I took my wife on our first date to Carnegie Hall see Hubert Laws play and we never looked back ......!
