Ahead of Ireland Yearly Meeting in Cork in July and Friends World Committee for Consultation's World Plenary in South Africa in August, Irish Quakers reflect on the meaning of 'ubuntu', which is the theme of both gatherings.
Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others'. It is often described as reminding us that 'I am what I am because of who we all are'.
