  • This Suzuki Bandit from a customer stood still for more than 4 years. We cleaned the carbs, replaced the battery and flushed the gastank which was also very rusty.
Our first video from our workshop! We are still working on more camera angles and better details of how to do specific jobs so subscribe our channel if you love working on bikes and want to learn stuff!

    Hey great video!
I have a quick question: how do you know how far you need to screw in the jets? Do you use Suzuki recommendation or used the old configuration?

dansilful I also check the current position by writing down how much turns it is to screw them completely in. In this case it was close to spec and the bike was running properly before running issues.

I carburatori vanno sfilati dalla parte dx dove non c'è il cavo frizione.

So explain all you have to check is the springs to make sure they aint stuck and wash the screwes ?! i GOT a 96 bandit and i think i need to clean the carbs .. bike kinda stalls when idle at lights and if it dont do that , bike stalls when i rev it . if i rev it a bit more sometimes it stalls and wont start . like the bike chokes .. what can it be !? carbs ? some filters ? exhaust ? ( mention i have a bit of air leak in the exhaust ' mid exhaust the down pipe that connects the end can leaks air , appears to have been welded by an idiot owner before i got the bike )) please help me if u can with an answer . thanks ! Nice video .

Thanks you for watching our video. This video is not really suited as a guide or howto to fix your own carburator issues. Sorry about that!
You need to check all the passages in the carburator and make sure that they are not blocked in any way. You can do this with compressed air, or a piece of a guitar string to poke each passage in the carb. Also make sure your jets are clean and make sure that your fuel flow is not blocked. If your fuel petcock or fuel filter is dirty it is possible to start the engine and rev it in neutral but when riding it just dies.Of you have any more further questions feel free to reply and i'll will do my best to help.

Under the butterfly on the outlet side of the carb there are three small pin holes that can be blocked. Idle assist progression holes. Check these are not blocked and the idle jet holes can block too. Should be able to blow carb cleaner through these holes or it will not idle well. Alle unwichtigen Montagen wie Tank Sitzbank laufen normal und das was wichtig ist Vergaser ein und Ausbau im Superspeed. Das ist nicht schön.
