Thanks for the blog, Matty. Just got the Z8. Love the feel, though a tad weighty. Re: the menu system, I beg to disagree, at least in comparison with Canon’s fare. A huge plus for me is how quickly movie recording starts with my button-press being the biggest lag. Film - switch and shoot - switch and record… back and forth with only the lag of how quickly you can flip the switch, specially if you reprogram the shutter button to also be the record button.
Thanks for the kid words, both systems do a great job and it really comes down to individual preference. What's really great is that Nikon users can access that quality for less than £2k!
