thanks for posting that, it is really a great performance by rich, especially how the music is constructed. i agree with you totally in the sense that music is dynamics, talent, and getting better constantly, but emotion is a legitimate part of the spectrum of music, it's the magical part that empowers you. which is why someone like serj or daron are going to be legendary musicians. not because they create amazing complexities, but because of the enormous powerful emotion they put out in system.

It's not even that the Serj Tankian band is better; they're different. SOAD was more post-punk; and this has elements of classical music, opera, and lounge, while still having a rock edge to it, for the most part. Scars on Broadway sounds more like the original System sound, because of the music - they have Daron and John, the guitarist/other vocalist and drummer from System.
I'm the only one to think the guitarst is Fabio Lione(Rhapsody Of Fire Frontman)?
