you met Floor Jansen, queen of the stage and goddess of music, she can sing anything in any musical style she wants (WARNING! her voice, her stage presence, her charisma, in one word: her "spell" is highly addictive), she is the lead singer of the symphonic-metal band Nightwish, with whom she has sung and still sings hundreds of splendid songs in equally splendid live performance, the perfect performance to start with is "ghost love score" from the 2013 concert to Wacken.
she sang many wonderful covers of songs, such as "oblivion", "let it go", "dangerous game" and many others and always with her own particular style and artistic touch, often not only singing but even improving the song itself.
the last one I mentioned she sang together with Henk Poort, a Dutch opera singer, with whom on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers she also sang an incredible version of "the phantom of the opera" and in that show she sang many other songs beautifully, such as "shallow", "vilja lied", "winner", "euphoria" and many more.

Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a spinto soprano with a range of almost four octaves (D3-G#5-F6). When listening to her sing, it is apparent that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres and is a Master vocal coach. It is incredible how she is able to take any song from any genre and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal, Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja )
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). [6] Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish.
Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016.
From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020.

I just found Floor Janson 6 moths ago. She's the best female singer I've ever seen in my life especially with Nightwish.

Floor can sing anything or any style music that she chooses to sing. She does some covers of musicals, like Phantom of the Opera, and also Dangerous Game from "Jekyll and Hyde. However, her main gig is as the lead vocalist for Nightwish. Floor has both operatic and Musical Theater training. There are so many. All are special and amazing. See you soon I hope. Peace. Adios!

Attended 4 years in the Dutch Rock Academy, 2 years in the Conservatorium Tilburg, a year of musical theater and opera.
She knows more about how to use the vocal mechanism than any singer you currently know.

Floor Jansen has been the lead singer of the symphonic metal band Nightwish since late 2012. However she has appeared on a Dutch TV show Beste Zangers in 2019 singing to other Dutch singers in various styles plus on her CZcams channel you will find several covers recorded during lockdown including Let It Go from Frozen, Into the Unknown from Frozen2, Alone previously performed by Heart,etc etc.

You're quite right, she took classes in musical theater styles for years. But that's not what she is, just a bit of what she can do :) As far as I know, she's a metal band singer at heart, stuff like this is just her having a bit of fun :D

I do like Floor's lower register too, perhaps more than her more often mentioned highs. It's like a soft embrace.
Also, it was fun hearing someone apparently unfamiliar with Floor Jansen compliment Floor's deep voice, without knowing what else she has on call. Although Floor's voice is hardly deep, she just is comfortable singing as low as she can go. Well, you can hear she is pushing the lower margin here a bit, the lowest notes are compromises, but not even Floor can sing soprano and baritone :)

Floor Janson would be spectacular in musicals. Just listen to her performance of Phantom of the Opera on the 2019 season of Beste Zangers, or her cover of Let It Snow from Frozen. There is a slight problem though. She is the lead singer of the symphonic metal band, Nightwish, and is currently a bit busy with their worldwide concert tour. Hope to see you do more reactions to Floor, both with Nightwish and any of her solo or collaborative performances.

Floor, covers lots of songs, and all are beautiful. She is lead vocals for Nightwish, and her voice has an affect on people. You should check out more of her covers all on her YT channel, and check her out with Nightwish. Her vocal range is infinity and beyond, classically trained, but can sing any genre like nothing you have ever seen. Nice reaction.
