Great video! Just ordered a press and cutter. Where would you recommend learning how to cut the latex? I know a little about cuts and what each cuts are called, but I’m looking for where you may have learned tips on cutting it?
Awesome video! I’m an ole boy from West Virginia looking to get into making calls for my family and I. I’ve looked on CZcams and have read a few articles about how to get started in making some mouth calls, however I can’t find anything on where to buy the supplies needed (latex, tape, etc). Any chance you could point me in the right direction? I’d also like to find a press similar to yours so that I can make the most professional call I can.
My advice is to get the Feather Ridge Press from Thad Bright they are the gold standard. Pioneer game call supplies and Michell Johnston of Dead End Game Calls for latex, Tape & Proph.
I’ve been making calls for a bit now but cannot find a cutter anywhere and really need that consistency before adding them to my small business, what brand cutter do you use and where could I find one?
It’s just according to what you want to put into it. There’s jigs and presses you just need to reach out to Thad Bright. Its more of a learning process than anything
I use a stamp and an ink pad I think the ink brand is archer or something I would have to check. I had someone that does laser engraving do the stamp for me. I also stamp the tape before I frame the calls. Stamping tape is first thing I do.

It’s honestly trial and error
Start with v cuts then go from there

Feather ridge has the press . Pioneer turkey call supplies for supplies
