Listening to her songs years later made me realize the new R&B girls doesn't HIT like that anymore, the 2000s was such a precious time.
For me, Alicia is one of those rare artists that is consistantly progressing. Starting with A Minor, she dropped an incredible record, and with each record following, has maintained not only who she is, but solid song writing, and gorgeous melodies with emotion and passion. To me she has not made one single bad record. Love her!

I lost my grandma last October 4th the closer I get to that date this year the harder time I’ve been having. I went to talk to her at her grave to tell her to keep sending me signs and butterflies to let me know that she’s ok and I will be too. I put on a playlist and this song came on as I was leaving the cemetery. A butterfly flew up and over my windshield. 😢 I know it was her she’s been sending them since she passed away but I just thought it was me being hopeful. But this was conformation for me. That I’m still loved and I’m not alone. I love and miss you soooo much grandma ❤
