I had a 93 VMAX. Loved that bike a much as life itself. One year I got real busy building my business while working a job and I sold it. Now without my VMAX it rains my tears every day... especially when the Sun is shining.
Beautiful. I’m getting a 96. Trading my 76 Harley custom for this bike. People are laughing at me. Saying I’m stupid. I think I’m genius. Sick bike. Can’t wait
Can relate to every thing said about mighty max. Own a 05 myself. The vboost kicks ass. Every time I ride it, like riding for the lst time. If people knew, if they only knew.
I got a kick out of all that touring trash on a bike that has a range of 90 miles. That really is the only problem on a otherwise wonderful riding bike. I bought my 1993 v-max in 2002 used with 6,800 miles and ride it still today. I use it just for around town since the range is so limited. My 1200 Kawi is my road bike. And I'm now in the process of restoring a 1983 Honda V45 (Last full 750 before Reagan taxed bikes over 700 cc to give Harley a break) Magna with 3752 original miles. It hasn't been ridden since 1984 when the original owner died in a car accident. The widow kept it all these years. She is now 71 and I convinced her it was time to sell.
I am in the process of selling my 1990 yz490 for a 2000 yamaha vmax hopefully always wanted a 490 but it's time to let her go for different things, the vmax is a legend as well. I enjoy your videos thank you sir
I owned same bike same color. My first of 3 V-Max's, first was Candy Red, then the Purple. Last one was Black with Silver Metal Flake in the Black paint. Should have kept that one as I've never seen another even at Daytona or Sturgis. Nor at the smaller biker get together's. Only Japanese bike I've owned that Harley riders would actually give compliments to!
I had a 1993 vmax with Supertrapp and straight bars in 2004. Same color but polished aluminum air covers. $3500. Wish I never sold it. Damn things are selling for twice that now. I now have a 2014 Vstrom 1000. New body style. Granted it's no street bike like the VMax but it serves my needs better at 40 years old. Ive driven the thing halfway across the country and up in Colorado, in a few short days. I can put 10 hours in the saddle a day. And it's got plenty of power to still get the ole ticker ticking. Awesome exhaust that Supertrapp. But now when I hear loud bikes I'm annoyed. Glad I'm not the guy going around pissing people off anymore 😂
Hey Kaplan? Can you cat walk or wheelie? You use the term send it... I’ve wheelied every street bike bike I’ve ever been on, vfr 1000 r1 ninja 900 gsxr 1000 Klr 650 sportster plus more and vmax... any thing with some balls basically. You look like a real life wolverine brother. Stand these bike up proud!
Hey Ken.. I need to disagree w the super trapps slip on no need to jet the carbs unless you go full pipes. How do i know?? I'm a vmax guru n they are my favorite all time n I've customized 100s of these bikes. If you see a vmax in NH n Mass you can bet I've done work on it. My baby is a 93 if you look n see my bikes my profile pic.... Love ya videos n what you all done for the motorcycle..
MrDjh66 yeah! I have an 89 version, changed the front forks for the 93 version. Braking improved handling better and fitted gutted pipes from an xjr. And it’s black too
Yes, on the old ones (1200cc). Like the ones on the new Ducati Diavel ;-) And many other bikes. First one with the scoobs was the Max though... looks like people like it lol

Those V4s sound like a big block V8 at lower RPMs. Sounds lovely.
Theres a video of a guy with one with open headers and it sounds like a small block muscle car
Sound better w full exhaust system..
@@wayneovmax9638 depends really. Who doesn’t like a straight piped VMax?
I just bought a red 1985 Vmax with 11,000 original miles garage kept very well-maintained and looked after! You would not believe the price....
Got a 2002 vmax and love it to death. Did mot a few weeks ago.. They said its a rearly seen well respected classic.
That sound... straight from the depths of hell

V boost is a myth. The feeling comes because the restriction ends.

70 degree V4, lumpy off cam idle. Wonderful motors.

I have a 93. Love it. Such a ballsy beast.
I own 96 v- max, had it for 9 years. Took it cross country many times. The rear tire was good for 5000, to 7,000 miles.
The sound this bike makes is beautiful!!!

Amazing to hear with filter kit and a 4-1 exhaust. Such a unique sound.
That v4 sounds amazing ❤️
Voodooexhaust duel megaphone on these bike's is absolutely ear shreddingly awesome.
These things are scary fast in the 1/4 mile even completely stock.
I recall peewee Gleason putting that into the 9's at a dragstrip. He came back smiling.
