@x7drummer Yes it had 3000hp Lycoming T55 turbines when it was Callan Marine. With that power it set the all-time top speed of 209mph at the LOTO Top Gun Shootout. The tilt trailer is used to keep the boat out of harm's way on the hwy.
There is a video here showing the Geico caravan heading to a race. I counted 10 rigs, nine of them semis. Geico really brings the show to the races. They have two chefs and two ovens, 15-20 tables with chairs and they feed three meals a day to racers and crew.

my guess is that they are getting alittle supplemental oxygen when racing just for the alertness factor but I think its mostly safety factor in case of a rolloover , just my 2 cents .

IT seems fairly quick to do an engine change, same as a normal jet (compared to normal boats) just drop it in and hook up some lines (in a matter on scene)

@19sob The boat cost $3,000,000 with upgrades from the changeover from " Miss LongLite" over to "Miss Geico".
Just curious because I can't seem to find it, how much would this thing cost? Maybe not this exact boat but just a straight up Mystic C5000-R?

GEICO is an automotive insurance company and the logo/ mascot is a gold dust day geko. (GEICO possibly coming from GEKO). My guess would be that they (the insurance company) are the sponsors of the boat and team. There have been quite a few boats named "miss" something so...
