Im sorry you had to try Tim Hortons, it was our family traditional Canadian coffee house and it was once amazing (sadly most people dont remember). it was sold out to Wendys maybe 20 years ago. The quality took a massive dive. They got ride of all the fresh doughnuts and timbit ( that use to be amazing (now they maybe have 4 timbits now and doughnuts are pre made fozen, not made in house). they attempted to put ice cream in at one time which failed big time. Tim Hortons is no longer Canadian , it just is Here in canada:( I hope that people will stop calling it Canadian! We have higher standards! Try 49th parallel or honeys doughnuts at Granville island they are more accurate and representative to what our prefered quality is here in Canada. Great video!
Never knew that a speech about Tim Hortons could make me cry 😢
I could not agree more. Donuts suck now. No longer fresh
Wendy's sold them already. I thought they were fine during the Wendy's era, but in the BK era, it's pretty awful.
Rachel, if you ever come back to Vancouver may I suggest a place called Honey donuts & goodies. It's a cozy little bakery/cafe tucked away in the village of Deep Cove on the North Shore (North Vancouver). The baked goods are fantastic and the people are friendly.
My mouth is watering
Vancouver is unrivaled when it comes to food!
You obviously haven’t been to Montreal.
I want to go to Vancouver! love the food tour please do more :)
Thank you for visiting Canada glad you had fun. As a home sick Canadian living abroad thanks. Come back.
I’ve been following you for years and really enjoyed these long-form travel/foodie vlogs. You’re such a natural in front of the camera. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more videos like this in the future.
Hi Albert, thank you so much for the kind words! I don’t typically do these “food tour” style videos so I’m glad you appreciate them. Will be creating more in the future and thank you for being such a long time follower!!
Hi Rachel I feel you hit most of the great places to eat…. Being an x local New Town Bakery is known for their baked cha sui boas, steamed cha sui boa, the dai boa meaning big boa which has a few different meat inside such as chicken, Chinese sausage, shiitake mushroom and egg… There is a custard pie as well… They are known for their apple tarts but it’s not to be eaten the next day it does not taste good… I have had it while it’s still hot and you will appreciate it more … The pineapple bun is not their specialty although you said it was good…to be fair one must eat on the same day or right after your purchase, you will taste the difference. Although Tim Horton May have been an ideal place for donuts you might try Lee’s Donuts in Granville Island Market next time… Phnom Penh is a great choice the chicken wings are a must it’s always good to go early as parking is limited or go off hours after the luncheon rush… or early dinner … Overall you did a great review keep up the great work…
Thanks for the great suggestions! I will keep this in mind for next time I'm in Vancouver :)
Ok, you totally ordered wrong at Tim’s!! I just started watching this and was like No!!!!! Drink - Ice Cap, Double Double or steep tea with 2 cream and 1 honey as for doughnuts: Honey Crueler and a Maple Cream are what you should try and eat. They are faves and you won’t get the maple cream in the US!
Oooo 😮 I’m going to Canada for the first time and I’m going to screenshot your order. Thank you! Sounds yummy 😊
I loved the restaurants that you chose for this video. I plan to try everyone of them in September. You are amazing!
Thanks Ed, hope this is helpful!!
I would also Café Salade de Fruits in Vancouver,
Went there with my family and it was excellent. The people and the food. Highly recommend it.
Thanks for sharing as I plan to visit Vancouver!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! I’m going to Vancouver for a week and I think you just planned all my meals. 😊
Really enjoyed your video. First time watching.
I’m a new subscriber! Great video 👏🏻 congrats ‼️
I wanna try all these spots whenever I get a chance to go to Vancouver! Thanks :D
Yes, you definitely should! I can't recommend them enough :)
Tim Hortons makes a great cold brew.
I’m hungry from watching 😍😍😍
Definitely give some of these spots a try!
Tim Horton is the only place I would go in Vancouver, nothing else.
May i ask how did you add the text in the video? :)
You NEED to try Happy Noodle House!
Awesome. Haha that tim hortons is close to me. Don’t waste money there. The Starbucks next to it is better. Try dynasty for amazing dumplings. They always have a lineup at their downtown robson location. Try Jam cafe for breakfast/brunch it’s amazing or chambar. For coffee try 49th or Cafe Artigano, Prado cafe or nemesis coffee. If you want donuts try Mello in Chinatown they are epic. For croissants try Agnes T in Yaletown. Phnom Penh is amazing. A definite must!
I tried Tim Horton's coffee and it's not that bad. 😊
Who produces your videos?
I knew Vancouver had a strong Asian influence but damn, didn't expect it this much
Put the xiaolongbao on a spoon first, then take a bite to let out of broth. Then eat the dumpling from the soup. That way you don't lose the broth.
yes
Can you do a food vlog in Seatle.?
On my to do list!
y would u eat poutine at japadog
Out of all the foods you've eaten in the video which ones were the most expensive 🤔
You can see the prices on the menus of each site!
you went to New Town and didnt get siopao at all?? that's why everyone goes there. and then japadog and no japadogs? 😅
Great vid we live in Vancouver area, Lees donuts 1000x better than Tim Horton’s (owned by US company): can I suggest not promoting AirB&B’s housing is so hard to find cause owners make money on short term rentals, if you eat out why have a place with cooking? Just a thought. We will try some of your finds
Liked your trip and food reviews but you tried the wrong foods and restaurants. You should have tried pork and deluxe buns at New Town Bakery.
You spelled Phnom Penh wrong
Why would you add places that you find are not the greatest in your video?
Hope you didn't get traumatized from eating at Tim Hortons. It's not as good after they got sold to a Brazilian corporation.
I used to live beside Granville Island. I would walk out my backdoor directly to False Creek Community centre. I agree with her opinion of the public market. I would often get sensory overload walking in there. I hate going there now as parking is a joke and the parking nazis are all over the place. Even people who work there have to move their cars!! The food there was great and fresh. I can't comment on the quality/price now as it's been forever since I was there.
Si mangia molto meglio di quello che avete fatto vedere in questo video!
I hate to say it. Without trying the dim sum or the Cantonese cuisine in Richmond. You can’t really say you’ve been to Vancouver. 😅 it’s top notch in North America
do you have some restaurant names fot rhis?
I'm Canadian and I can tell you that Tim Hortons donuts are crap. I much prefer the donuts at Dunkin Donuts.
Haha lesson learned!
Japadog is overrated.
L
timmies is kinda bad ngl
Sadly, I wasn't a fan :(
@@eatsbyrachel Timmy's is convenient but it is what it is - fast food. When it was small the donuts used to be fresh but now they come in frozen. I would highly recommend their Iced Capps though - super tasty and cheap. The funny thing is, Mcdonald's Canada coffee now tastes better than the Tim's (apparently they bought Tim Horton's old coffee supplier), probably some of the best cheap coffee you'll get here. If you want a fantastic local chain donut + coffee shop, I recommend 49th and Parallel. If you want another that's truly hole-in-the-wall and a local favourite, I would recommend Duffin's Donuts - very iconic, some of the best value to taste ratio for donuts, and depending on how late you go it might be fun to people watch.
I'm a Canadian and I can tell Timmy donut is garbage. Delivered in frozen condition.
Tim horton's???? Shows you really know how to eat😡😑

ILY idk why you are still watching my videos after all these years BUT I AM HONORED
It's a shithole in Vancouver BC nothing but rain. Just go down to Hastings by Chinatown and tons of bums all over the place.
