thank you very much for posting! i have subscribed now. i visited kawai kanjiro's house a few years ago. i visited alone, i'm not sure what made me visit when there were 'bigger' attractions in the area, but it was one of the most memorable experiences of my visit to kyoto. the staff were very lovely, and there was only one or two others, and there was a peacefulness about the house. i think kawai kanjiro's works have an earnestness and yet, playfulness about them, and i admire it very much. also, it was nice to see a cat :)
His works are not art but dishes for daily use which make us happy. I also felt something warm in that house. By the way that house is used as location for a movie “ Otokowa Tsuraiyo Torajiro Ajisainokoi.” Thank you for subscribing.
