Lovely video Lucy. Reminds me of one of my best memories of one of my trips to Mauritius. I did the exact same cruise. We ended up at Iles Aux Cerfs but spent the day there and then taxi back to the accommodation. The most beautiful blue water I've ever experienced. What a trip. Thanks for posting. I am trying to book our honeymoon for Sep 2022 in Mauritius but stuck on which area to go to! we are big travellers who loveee food, front runner so far is Lux Grand Gaube in the north ,but have seen some hotels that are more value for money on the East coast... heard it can be pretty windy in the East in September though. Wondering if you have any suggestions?- since you have given me more info than all of my research on TripAdvisor has! :D
Hello! Yes, east coast is windy in September. I’d say Lux Grand Gaube is good, or on the west, Mariposa is a beautiful boutique hotel. I personally prefer the west and south of the island. Good luck!
Hey me and my friend are 99% sure to come to Mauritius in may. Can you tell me how the weather in may is and the watertemperature? And how long should we stay? Are 10 days enough or too short? Thank you for your answer:)
Hi Tamoor. May is a lovely time to come as it’s less humid and generally it’s sunny (with a SE breeze). A really great time of the year! Water temp is around 25 degrees and 10 days would be ok. Have a happy new year!
