If you look at the end of the tip there’s a little steel ball that puts pressure on the rivet shaft and is what prevents the used rivet shaft from falling back into the chamber. If you remove the tip using the provided hex tool, you can then easily remove the O-ring and the little steel ball. I’d obviously keep them around in case you wanted the tool in the future for some reason grip rivets, but that will fix your problem.

What i think your a bit confused there bud?? All you have to do is put a new rivet in the tip and pushes the old one back

@Builds & Stuff. Thanks for the tutorial on how to replace that nose extension on the Milwaukee M12 riveter. So it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks Milwaukee doesn't do a great job with their instruction manuals. I like how Makita has more diagrams in their user's manuals. Not that Makita thinks their users are idiots but Milwaukee, I think, treats their users a bit like Apple users. "It's intuitive" they think. I had to look up a You Tube video just to figure out how to open the charge port for Milwaukee's 700L flashlight (the o-ring for the twist cap covering the charge port is very tight). And no, there's no picture or diagram on where to hold the flashlight when twisting that cap.
Hope you and your family stay safe and well.

Thanks for this video. Was struggling to remove the guide myself, didn't notice the flat point on the end of the guide.
    Cheers again dude 👍

    🤣🤣🤣🤣 that made my day
Is it me or those rivet stems are dropping back only with steel rivets?

Really not bad for the money. An extension for this is around £30 where as an extension for my Gesipa Accubird rivet gun is closer to £300.

Its a shame they don't do a 4" extension. I find 6" way overkill and standard just not enough for 50% of work

Just giving you a heads up but the long thin steel bar the rivet stalks go down the head at the bottom of the thin part comes off the bar itself sometimes as it is not welded onto it so i use a small amount of super glue on it then hit it back on with the hammer, wipe the excess glue off, leve it to dry, put it back together then you are ready to go
