I'm so glad I take good care of my feet. My sister and my dad weren't as lucky. My mother just has really dry and rough feet.
My feet are the best cared for part of my body. I do get thick skin on my heels but if I keep the maintenance up, which isn't much, they stay smooth. I also have a split on my left foot from some glass I got in my foot as a kid and every now and again I need to cut the skin away so it's not sore. I soften them in the shower and then put lotion on them and I'm good for a while. And I like to put Vaseline on them because it makes them healthy.
The only time you'll catch me with my socks off is in bed, the shower, pool or when my feet get irritated by being in socks and need some air. Idk why but sometimes they get antsy being cooped up. 🤣 I suppose it's because I wear socks almost 24/7, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Even Flip Flops work as long as the level of water does not rise above the height of the shoes.

@@badger7275 most people don’t go out of their way to clean the shared dorm bathrooms that are used by 10+ people on one floor. The janitors clean them on a schedule. That’s why they recommend the shoes. It’s gross, but that’s what happens

I had bright blue hair, and cleaned the drain before and after my showers, so nobody could accuse me of the drain carpet; it would've been hella obvi.

There is an unfortunately wide range on the e of cleanliness in this country. My family prefers to keep shoes by the points of entry, and I lean toward the Japanese way of wearing inside shoes inside, and keeping outside shoes for outside (95% of the time… if I forgot something right before I leave, the it is what it is. We clean our floors frequently, so I’m not worried about it.)

I've had this before. Every step hurts like hell. My doctor cut out one of them, made a tiny incision on the side of my foot, and placed the wart in the incision and sew it shut. The rest of the warts disappeared completely in about 3 months, and they've never came back. My immune system detected the wart in my foot, fought it, and sought out the rest of the warts. It was amazing.

In public saunas,bathtubts etc. you can do it outside and inside where you live. It is healthy to go bearfoot since modern shoes fuck up foot.

I’m always barefoot when inside my home and my toes are spread out the way they’re supposed to be. For outdoors, instead use sandals that don’t squeeze your toes together, or there are also “barefoot shoes” (shoes that are wider at the toes to allow them to spread naturally).

I took swimming classes at the YMCA when i was 11 and i got 1. And it was the most traumatic experience. I had to duct tape it after putting castor oil on it daily and the tape would pull out these white strings omg. It healed pretty quick but lordddd i still remember the whole experience to this day. And im 32
I got some kind of wart in my foot when I was little too, ended up lasting for weeks and eventually turning black. Then I pulled out a black clump and there was a hole in my skin for a couple days. Kinda traumatizing ngl
I had a ton on each foot from the public pool and mine were so deep i had to have the doctor freeze and then put acid on them and wrap em to get rid of them

I'm mostly the type of person to be barefoot. Now watching this, it made me become aware of it. 💀💀
theyre not _that_ common, at least where i am. im also a barefoot walker since childhood, only got on once. it went away easily enough.
If you havw a decent immune system you wont get this. Barefoot in public showers etc my entire life and never gotten this.
Life long Floridian here, most children that grow up here don't wear shoes outside period, including myself. Never once have I gotten these, not at the beach, hiking trails, ect. Still good to practice basic safety though, learned that lesson well by almost stepping on a Water Moccasin (AKA Cottonmouth Snake)
As a child, i always went around the house barefoot Nd played outside in the garden barefoot. Didnt stop walking barefoot til i was 14. I got my first 2 plantars warts. And i sh*t you not they hurt whenever i walk and apply pressure to them. After that i wore sandals wherever aside carpet floors.
The risk is in showers and saunas where people with the plantar warts virus leave the virus behind and the next five people get exposed and then expose others, etc. It easily thrives in public bathing environments. Same with toenail fungal infections. Even those with a. Decent immune system are at risk. Anyway, you're far less likely to get these particular type of warts outdoors in sand, sidewalks, etc. Not plantar warts.

I had one tiny one, thank god I could do the treatment at home, I just had to circle the wart with vaseline to protect the skin and give a few droplets of medicine (it's really strong acit so very very carefully), then it was gradually gone after a few weeks.
I got the wart after a trip to a water amusement park. A lot of people and kids don't wear slippers there because you'd have to leave them at the top of the ride and go back up like 6 storeys to get them.
Anyways, it's not that bad, but you have to treat it while small, cuz they can spread.
Also, sometimes they even go away, but don't count on it.

Y'all, u can walk around barefoot, just avoid it in warm and moist places that are also very public. So for reference, the sauna at the gym. Walking barefoot is pretty good for you! But just like watching where you put your hands, you should obviously watch where you put your feet. Most people who walk barefoot don't just go stepping anywhere. The earth just feels way better than a shoe when you know where to walk.

I have been using the compound w stuff and my doctor has been freezing it, but it’s still here. It’s been on my foot for like months now. Is there anything else I could do to get it removed? Improve the work of your immune system. The warts are caused by the virus, as soon as your immunity works well, the virus will be deactivated, and the warts will go away. If your immunity is low, your likely to grow more warts even if you cut out the current one

I don't know if this will help or no, english is not my first language n i need to google what plantar wart is. I'm pretty sure i have this on one of my middle finger bout 10 years ago. Started with a small one and spread to bout a 1x0.5 cm. Then gradually got some more, smaller but start to appear in another finger. I've tried callusol, it just peel off the outer part but couldn't cure. I need to use tape to cover it almost every day so people couldn't see it. I've come to doctor, they just gave me another bottle of callusol. I got this for more than a year.
Then i found that it caused by virus, and randomly thought bout garlic. At past when i was in school, if I feel like a blain is about to appear, i sliced garlic n put it then the blain somehow won't appear.
So then i try this method again, i sliced a garlic n put it in the wart. For the big one i tape it n leave it for about half an hour before wash it.
I did this bout 2 times a day, n before a week the small ones totally disappear. I can't remember for how many days i put the garlic, but i'm sure not more than 2 weeks. I remember i breathe a sigh of relief and regret why I didn't try it earlier.
Apply Glutarol to dry the wart and then apply Salactol to burn it. Cover the wart with zinc oxide tape (it stays on, even when slightly wet or sweaty). Eventually, you’ll be able to remove it. I tried everything including over the counter wart products, apple cider vinegar, and tape. Only the method I’ve just shared work for me.
This is both horrifying and satisfying and I can't explain why. Like. The holes in the skin set off the absolute most primal alarm bells in my head, but seeing everything removed cleanly and imagining the eventual relief for the person is comforting. It's so weird.
Personally I had about 2 on each foot for about 3 years. They do fucking suck, but luckly mine were not that huge. Still for sure inhibited my ability to run and do sprints tho..
I tried almost everything to get rid of it, but in the end they just ended up falling out when my body finally got it's shit together lol.
Just woke up one day and realized I had no pain on my feet so I checked and they were gone and healed! Such a relief too. I haven't gotten them again from my own research into them at the time so this lady is honestly a wonderful and awesome person for spreading the awareness!
