Uprooted I wouldn't consider a romance. Fantasy yes but the romance is very little with one spicey scene that I felt was very sudden. The romance I would say is like 10/15% to be honest where the rest was political and the MFC making obstinate decisions 😅 I still enjoyed it! But would never consider it "romantasy" 😉

I don't want to give anything away, but if the age thing is putting you off from reading it don't let it. It's not a romance.
You should read Arc of a Scythe by Neal Shusterman!!! Its a series, and the first book is Scythe. I think you'd like it, because it has a really good world idea and it has a bunch of plot twists.

Idk if this helps, but historically purple is considered a royal color because it was very expensive to dye things purple.
