Hopefully the algorithm will notice this video. It deserves more views.
Currently it has more upvotes on Reddit than here on Yiutube.
Disney will flag it and take all monetization like theyve done with other fan films though
@@pvpworld to be fair to Disney the law is pretty clear and you can’t just use a company’s music in a monetized fan film and that is what is automatically claimed when a copyright claim is issued. I for instance couldn’t monetize this video even if I wanted to cause I’m using music made by Samuel Kim Music, and even though I have his permission the automated copyright protection recognized his music as soon as I uploaded I’m the video.
Absolutely agree!
@@ZaneOlson I just contacted you! Maybe you may consider a rescoring for this one?
The quality is insane, wow.
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it
Really like the unique touches of no sound in space, pilot that actually ejects, and rapid danger of ISD.
This was really really good man. First time I have ever seen a pilot actually ejecting out of an x-wing, which was awesome to see. Thanks for doing this. These fan films are where it's at. Great work.
Thanks! I've been waiting for an ejection myself ever since episode 4, I'm surprised how rare it is
@@ZaneOlson Well in space it's more dangerous, esp. with battle debris flying all around and the pilot in just a flight suit. Then you have to hope your side can recover you before your air runs out, or pray that the other wants you as a prisoner and won't just leave you out there.
So most just go down with the ship. ( also TiE's also have ejections systems )
@@hughjasse7636that and with how many times fighters just evaporate once there shields drop it kinda makes sense
@@hughjasse7636 is that what Jek told you?
@@ghostman5620 Nope, Kessler Syndrome. Debris doesn't just stop or disappear.
I really liked the effect of everything being silent until the x-wing entered the atmosphere it was pulled off really well!
Yup. That eject was awesome. The stall was icing on the cake.
The fan vid is amazing!
Can we all take a moment and really appreciate that sweet stash
He goes through a ton of moustache wax
The dogfight was really kinetic, I kept thinking "this asshole should put his S-foils in attack position" and when he did, it was sick as hell. Really made me feel the tension, and I'm a sucker for improbable flight maneuvers.
Great work! I can tell a lot of time went into this!
Thanks! I spent around 4 months on animation so I'm happy that was all worth it
You should hire this guy to do your sound design.
@@ZaneOlson it definitely was. good job!
@@ZaneOlson this was amanzing art of work
@@ZaneOlson Буду рад увидеть продолжение! И очень жаль, что робот не уцелел!
I loved the silence in space. *Chef's kiss*
I just watched a video about people no longer liking star wars because of the constant fanbase arguing. Watching this just puts so much hope in me, amazing job!
This is truly epic
The Force is strong With this one ! Love the ISD ! The x-wing on fire, ejection and crash were awsom !
Fun! Hard not to really enjoy X-wing vs TIE fighter or a desert planetscape with stuff flying through. Love the statues stuff. Part of what I really enjoy about the concepts in Star Wars is the idea that whatever civilization is current in the story is just using the tech from eons ago and that there may be lost ancient stuff everywhere just as there seems to be here on earth!) so kudos for keeping that feeling alive in this. You are solidly inspiring my continued learning of Blender.
It has to be said. On top of your gorgeous imagery and 3d rendering, your capture of cinematic principals to tell your story without a single line of dialogue is top notch. First video I've seen of yours, but clearly, you know what you're doing and how to do it. It takes your art to a whole new level knowing how to deliver this style. I'm just starting to look at Unreal, Unity and/or Blender to start animation in video production, and your video is a gold standard. Nicely done.
Only 44K views ? Shocking! Fantastic work.
Almost 20K in the last month so at least algorithm kinda found it lol. Thanks foe the view!
You deserve a thousand likes already alone for actually making sure there is no sound in space. Only when they entered the atmosphere. Such a subtle yet amazingly well done effect.
Hats off to you. The massive statues carved out of the rock was really imaginative and should belong in something with a huge budget. Stellar creative work.
I actually cannot believe this doesn't have more views.
Damn, man. I legit wanted to keep watching.
”May the render be with you, always”
That was some great flying! Good to see that kind of talent in the Republic was more common.
So nice to watch a Star Wars film with original music. Thank you.

Admittedly I’m not much of a Star Wars fan but this is absolutely incredible!!! I would never guess that this wasn’t professionally made by a big studio! Bravo!!!!
This is some of the most beautifully rendered Star Wars work on CZcams now. Kudos.
Thank you!
The use of a physical parachute fits Star Wars surprisingly well!
This felt more like StarWars than anything Disney has put out. Good job.
Lots of praise already, so just to add: very impressive how you succeeded in making the X-Wing - and the action - feel _fast_.
1:54 - when he cuts the power, then brings it back on ... great imagination, great work! Just wish it was around 2 hours long ....
This really is magnificient
Re-entry burn made me smile
The power of Blender, thank you for this, it is briliant, almost every detail. Fantastic work.
Perfect! 4 mins thousands better then SW VII, VIII and IX. Someone hire these guys!
Silent approach in space--love it!
Definitely worth those 5 months!
Wow! I would for sure recommend you to send this to Disney as open solicitation since it's so incredibly well made! The graphics, the speed, the details, actually all is Star Wars genuine so well done. Can't wait to see the other parts!
Excellent! Keep the story alive!
Thanks for keeping alive the force
Nice simple story line, done well. Tight graphics. One of the better attempts to replicate atmospheric flight. I look forward to more of your work.
I enjoy this much more than Obi-Wan Kenobi. Brilliant work, man.
Very fun. Nice to see a legitimate ejection. I don't think I've seen a fan film ever portray it.
This was amazing ! Not once did a shot break my immersion, as someone that does a lot of blender animations I know you put your life force into this haha, Keep it up !
The attention to detail such as no sound in space and the reentry heat was nice.
Brings a tear to my eye, this is what i want out of a star wars movie, not some damn trade embargo talks.
Next best thing in the absence of a Rogue Squadron movie!
The sound design on this is amazing, the animation too. Amazing job.
This.Is.Brilliant!!! 🎉
This is excellent! Why on Earth does it have so few views 🤷♂️
Sort it out algorithm!
This is top tier work. Your composition is excellent, camera work, animation... about as close to perfect as one can get! I'm just now starting to play around with Blender, and seeing stuff like this drives home just how powerful of a tool it can be. That couple with such obvious creator talent and skill... yeah, great work!
I really liked how the X-Wing pilot actually used tactics which were/are used by atmospheric fighters while in atmosphere. I especially appreciated the realism you brought the fight, the way the changing acceleration actually moved the pilots body!
Great Job!
The downside is... that solar system is an absolute mess... there is just too many massive things in close proximity to be realistic (the gravity would have destroyed them or kicked them out of the system a very long time ago).
This has a better story than most SW these days. Just so good omg.
Fantastic work! It is impressive at all levels! Bravo! It feels like a short for Mandalorian.
Best looking fan film I’ve seen in years
Amaizing and insane work. Thank you for that. Respect from France
I must say, this is way waaaay better than what Disney Lucasfilm is putting out. The 3 minutes is worth more than the 3 sequel trilogies, Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett and Kenobi put together. Fantastic. Gary Kurtz, Dennis Muren, Joe Johnston would be proud. 😅
That was awesome. Well done.
Brilliantly done! The lack of engine and flight sounds from the X Wings, prior to entering the planet's outer atmosphere, was beautifully, and subtlety impactful. Keep doing what you do!
wow...the force is with you!
Great work! This was one of the few times watching any Star Wars film that it felt like the speed and the movements of the ships during a dog fight felt "real"! It wasn't over edited, just the right amount of chaos. Most films will add too many unrealistic camera placements and moves to the point where it becomes boring to watch. This one had me wanting more.
Impressive, most Impressive indeed!!! totally awesome!!!!
Goes to show how close the average Joe is coming to making his own movie.Ive used Blender before for a very short clip and it took days to complete. This is incredible.
this deserves more views.
This was beautifully done.
Fabulous.
The sequence where he cut the engine to use gravity and get behind the TIE is my favorite.
Poe Dameron WISHES he was this cool.
Possibly the best fan film 🎥 I’ve seen yet. I hope this creator becomes the owner of the franchise to lift Star Wars from the dredge.
I LOVED the fact that you muted the sounds in space! It's so much better!
I've always been wondering why they have been using the same audio in space and on planets, since the Lightspeed Scene in Episode VIII. This Episode didn't do much right, but this was awesome and so is your Fan-Film!!!
Fantastic, two things I love, dog fighting and Star Wars!
Nicely done, has a storyline too, awesome.
This is crazy good, and for you to do this in less than half a year is insane. Much respect, keep up the good work!
Rarely comment but had to here to say well done and thank you. Obviously a passion project, takes far more time that what appears on screen , and was done in the midst of everything else going on in your life. Very well done, a heartfelt gesture to the franchise/fans, and something to be proud of. You did it! You made a contribution to SW and it is [ROTJ Emperor voice] "gooooooood." But seriously, well done -- and thank you. =)
This is so good bro. Great composition and shots
Wow! The hard work you put into this really pays off!
Wow ! Just ! Wow !!!! Incredible, your work really inspiring ! Well done !!!
WOW! This is BADASS!!!! Great work - all around amazing.
wow, this is actually insane dude.
EPIC!!! At about 2:00 the x-wing drops. When he lit the engines I got the shivers.
How did this slip under my radar? I've watched every Star Wars fan film from the past 5 years (or so I thought).
Amazing work!
Dude this was insane, love it so much cant wait to see the next part.
Absolutely unbelievable, straight up made me tear up at how much thought and care went into this. Amazing work.
Thanks! It's always too great to hear all the hard work paid off
WoW, astonishing!
Bravissimi!
The quality and passion are truly impressive
Thank you so much for creating this fan-film
Very well done, no BS and straight to the action :)
Great, now I want to jump into a X-Wing and start shooting TIEs. :D Looks amazing!
This looks great!! Can't wait for part 2!!!
I'm looking forward to episode 2 !
Beautiful.
Very nice! It’s always neat to see the ejection seats used in the Star Wars universe!
Amazing Work! It's sad you only have 5,500 views (at time of writing)... Hope you get more!
Awesome! Perfect! Interesting! Real awesome job!!!
The visuals are incredible. Well done.
Hope you finish part 2! VERY WELL DONE!!!!!
I know I'm really late tot his party but hot damn! This is some impressive work, you captured the essence of starwars in less than five minutes. I hope there is still a part two in the works.
Thanks! Part 2 is coming, I was able to make part one one the course of 5 months during lockdown so part two is definitely going to take a little time but I’d say it’s around 50% done
That was magnificent! I can’t wait to see the next part! Thank you!
Ho ho ho hoooo BOY! Gonna be waiting for the next part of this for SURE. Great work guys, excellent attention to detail in this video, Great physics and flow, top quality foley work and excellent music to bring out the emotions of the Director's vision! definitely one of the best fan movies I've seen so far. When making videos like this, attention to detail is key. every frame needs to be overloaded with details of the scene, right down to the scratches in the paint, and collected dirt in the corners of the R2 droid. So much detail to realism that a person shouldn't be able to see it all with a single viewing, and this is what you have done! I can't wait for the next part!!!!
Wow I'm speechless... Beautiful work and camera movements are nice!
No sound in space, well done
Great work Zane! I was totally amazed by the quality and the beautiful landscapes and details!👏👏
My first thought was "that pilot is an idiot."
My second thought was "how good is the story telling that it can create that first thought so clearly?"
This is, indeed, very good storytelling, and amazing CG work. Sound design is generally solid, too. The score was sometimes a bit mellow, but overall that was a great way to spend 3 minutes. Thanks for sharing!
Incredible! That was completely captivating and beautiful. Thank you for that. I’m late to seeing this, but really glad I have found it.
