2022 is less than 3 months away, so that is why I decided to take a closer look into the up and coming trends for spring and summer 2022. It is easy to notice that the Y2K fashion is going to be the IT-trend next year. For example the low rise pants, platforms, crop tops, miniskirts and the baguette bag (that has been increasing its popularity in 2021!). And then we have some trends that have been sticking around for some seasons, for example cut-outs, fringe, sheer fabrics and crochet. I hope you will enjoy this video and let me know what you think!

Basically, we're going back to early 2000s trends
Yes Fashion always repeat . Have fun express yourself. 👍🌹2022.
The 20 year rule😎
@@estherlise those of us ahead of the game its 22 years.
the early 2000 trends that borrowed from the late 1960's early 1970's
hesh teq BTDT been there done that
90s, to be exact ... that's, when it was in fashion, to wear platforms ... Loveparade and the like ... this is big techno scene fashion
and they borrowed and modified from 70's
As a woman who was born in 1952 I can say, what comes back, isn't just the 90s as many people think. Nobody would wear exactly what models on the catwalks wear. I lived in the 70s and I can say, the 70s style is coming back. The 90s were sort of a modified twin of the late 60s/70s. With that I want to say, the roots are the late 60s and 70s:) they had bright colors, psychedelic prints, flared jeans (they actually looked like straight wide leg jeans, the way the youth wears them today), even cropped stuff and round big sunglasses, knitted cardigans whatever...
I think it's amazing to see the fashion from my younger years reviving this decade. The youth is getting really stylish:)
My mom said the same thing. She was born in 53’. ❤️❤️❤️
You're absolutely correct! I'm younger than you, but when I was wearing flares and round glasses and corduroys in the early 90's I was shopping at thrift stores, rummaging through parents' and friends' parents' basements for their old clothes, and trying to imitate the 60s/70s vibes for sure. It's funny how these styles became known as 90s styles when we were just copying what our parents wore when they were younger🤷♀️
Exactly fashion is cyclical.
ur 69 haha
interesting
0:40 - Platforms
1:34 - All Tied Up
2:37 - Drop It Low
3:40 - Sparkling Silver
4:44 - Cutouts
5:51 - Sheer
6:56 - Fringe
7:53 - Crochet
8:46 - The Mini Skirt
9:34 - Dresses Over Pants
Loved, right on track. 👍2022.
Best comment
I'm definitely ready for the platforms, all tied up I'm SUPER ready for crochet since I crochet so I can just recreate my fav's the others they just gonna have to take my money
So weird they missed the denim and patchwork
I like Dresses over pants...
The fact I already loved these last year just makes me feel like a trendsetter even tho I’m not lol
relatable
Why are you discrediting yourself babe? Own that shit! 💕
Same girl :D
😂👍👍👍
You are a trendsetter! Trendsetters aren’t “chosen” it’s just an expression of yourself. Don’t forget!
I never thought I’d like dresses over trousers, but in a co-ord they’re actually nice. Dresses over jeans can stay in the 00s though.
I liked that outfit too, really nice in a bright abstract print.
Growing up it was considered tacky to wear a dress over pants! things change! same as slip showing under skirts or dresses now you wear them without any top (ah!ah!ah!)
Same I think it demonstrates that it’s just about how it’s done. A lot of the trends from 2000’s have been more refined. But also this is a trend from the 60s. I’m pretty sure someone will do a Canadian tuxedo (lol) version of the Dress and Jeans and it will probably look amazing. But maybe that’s just a pipe dream lol
@@janicevin4207 isn’t it still considered tacky?
😭please don’t bring back dresses over jeans
I just want to acknowledge the work that went into editing this video. All of these trends can translate from runway to wearable. People are so ready to express themselves.
No. Not the low waist. Before it’s too late. Please…pull it up. PLEASE! 😩😭
Britney is free, i’m afraid not possible any more 😂 (truly happy for her though!)
ikr
As a gen z, let us have our cringe phase 💀
i have patiently been waiting for years for the come back of the low waist. I hope to see mini Aguilera's everywhere next summer
@@ssm5708 but…I’m a gen z too!
I feel stupid for thinking mini skirts never went out of fashion. It seems like everyone from every time period has worn them.
But did they ever go out of fashion, though?
I don't know how low-waist pants/jeans/skirts will fit in with the body positive movement. Let's be real, that rise only looks good on skinny/fit girls.
I was thinking that too. The Paris Hilton Body type is way out of fashion; 'slim thicc' is the new goal for most young women and most of these trends won't work on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion body types.
Plumbers crack is coming in.
@@shiny_creations I don't think that being slim is out of fashion. If it was they would have had slim thick models to wear those graments. Most clothes just fit slim girls better even though having curves is "trendy" . High fashion is just meant for thin girls. Commercial is more inclusive. Let's see what will happen in few years. Hopefully they will make clothes that are inclusive also in the high fashion industry.
@@shiny_creations slim thicc is about to go out of style
I mean those figures(the kim k surgery kind) of very disproportionate, Megan thee stallion has worn low rise before and it suits her very much. however I'm a mid-rise advocate I feel as though it's inclusive to all.
It's the 90's all over again ..... I feel so old 😂

Oh my gosh yes I'm a 2000s baby but like this was the style in the 90s. 😅
Exactly, almost my wardrobe 25 to 30 years ago
90's fashion borrowed from the late 1960's early 1970's
Well… I love the silver.
Also on trend for shoe styles apparently, are Tevas and Uggs. As for time period revival, I see clear 1960s-1970s influence, blended with early 2000s - which is probably making a come back this year because it is now 21 years ago, so it's officially revivable as "retro" now I guess, god help us all in the future.
Talk about feeling old. I've lived through the first one and the revivals LOL!
No uggs just Tevas FFS
if uggs come back i will kms
Thank you. Just realised I don't want to include any of these in my wardrobe ☺️
The only trend I like is the crochet. Hopefully fall 2022 will have some better trends.
Lol personally I only like the platforms, but I agree that most of these are either super impractical (try having your tiddies out) or just plain hideous. What is up with the fringe?? Why??
im so excited for fall 2022
edgy prep>>>
as someone with longer legs and a shorter torso, low rise pants would help balance me a lot! it would be nice to have some more low rise options too
i have a long torso and really short legs 😂 the opposite of you

czcams.com/video/PpQhilvU_N8/video.html
I'm the same, short body and long legs. I've been patiently waiting for low rise to come back into fashion, so glad they finally are!
@@katec9893 Yees, me too! I've been ordering some flared jeans recently and I cry when I try them on - they are all very high-waisted and my torso looks ridiculous...
The Black and White Burberry was really well done.
I been wearing Platforms all 2020/2021
Lovely to see knitted, crochet designs too,now I have taught myself to cast off,the models all looked great too
some of these I´ve seen so much in kpop. i bet it played a part in making these trendy again (all tied up, drop it low, mini skirt, dresses over pants)
Kpop stylists are definitely trend setters
When you came for the fashion but stayed for the music
Can't wait to find some sparkling silver tights. It's gonna be so much fun to go shopping!
That Catsuit was amazing
My mom was the queen of 90's and 2000's fashion, I used to hate it but now I love it
So basically, the 90's and early 2000 all over again
I'm happy with almost all of these (I'm just hoping to still find midwaist jeans), but fringes and crochet? Whyyy?
Also, almost all of these trends are catered to a long body with little curves, so I'm curious to see how they get adapted online where a different body ideal is currently present.
And very flat abs, diet all the time😒😥😥
agreed. I have pretty wide hips compared to my waist. I love my figure but low rise jeans just don't look good on me. We'll see what happens. :)
I think introducing crochet into more high fashion is so interesting! As far as I know it’s never been this popular and I think it’s a really great outlet for alternatives to fast fashion
I kind of like the crochet little tank tops they’re so cute (but only on skinny model bodies they wouldn’t look that good on me)
especially now that over 60% of people are obese and overweight
I really enjoy how dresses over pants has been reinvented, but I must say some colours combinations do seem outdated, loving cut outs too, and for everyone complaining about low cuts, the wonderful thing 21 years later is that we have variety and unlike early 00s we don't depend on trends no more, wear what you like
The butterfly halter and pants set was nice.
Fashion is for ever
Thank you 💞 a fashion
I had to do a double take, I thought it said Fashion is Over
This channel is the best to grasp the fashion trend. Thank you from Japan.
The lavender platform look was awesome.
Love,love, love the hip huggers!!
The Burberry Cutout dress with the orange and black bag is really nice.
cutouts, sheer, and crochet
Love the high-waisted , tie-up stuff ❤️
Watching this video is exactly why I steer clear of fashion trends and stick to the basic staples of fashion that I know work season after season. Some fashion designers honestly have no idea!!
And no matter what I'm still gonna be wearing my high waisted jeans, thx.
The Spirtmax sheer pants set was awesome.
I loooooooooooove this years upcoming fashion trends! Can't wait!
Dresses over pants is going to be so interesting !!! I love it
So we literally bring back all the Trends of the early 2000s that we despised in the 2010...cool cool cool cool cool 😬
Yeah I can see these still being pretty cool for next year because as we slowly get out, we will be styling things that we did not get a chance to wear the following years. For Fall I got my sheers, fringes and crochet garments ready for styling. And I been doing the pants over skirts for years now and don't plan on letting that styling go any time soon. I just thrifted some mini skirts but not my size so going to have to let them go (we still can not try on at store). Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

Britney Spears everywhere
Eagerly waiting which of these are going to major trends in 2022. Especially for the sparkling sliver trend.
Love your compilations! I also get to know new artists (music) while watching and listening your content. You are appreciated! I would love to see a more frequent male fashion trends ^^ Lots of love from Belgium!
I thought there was a hair on my screen i-
0:40 lovin the bratz vibes with Platforms
living for that black Balmain cutout dress
I love the dress over pants 😍
I wore all these in the 90's LOL!
But I totally lovin the dress over pants look, which exactly what I did at yesterday's event, and to see it's gonna be next year's trend made me happy to realized I still got the style factor strong. Looking forward to plan my wardrobe accordingly.
The “dresses over pants” style I liked so now I’m feeling myself a fashion dictator😹😹❤️👗
Cool dress&trouser set
OMG I LOVE ALL OF THESE AAA
Ooooo platforms I love platforms
I loved all of these!!!
i will wear platforms absolutely always. so happy to see low rise back. would love to wear some whaletails!!

The dress over pants trend made me remember Rosé from Blackpink, she's been wearing ones on her Sea of Hope Episodes before all of these fashion shows. Wow. She's a trendsetter herself! ❤
Your videos are kick ass! Love LOve LOVE!!
Both of the Black Jacquemes outfits were nice.
Another great video! Thanks!
i am here for the mini skirt !!!!
The platform shoes...Herman Munster comes to mind
It's giving the 60s mixed with 2000s and I don't know how to feel since those are my least favorite fashion eras
Looks like several of the trends are back for another year. The only piece I saw in the whole video that I loved was the red fringe dress. Platforms had their day in the seventies as well as crochet and hipsters and mini skirts were sixties.
Love it. Love. Love.
im in love! im so exicited for these trends!

omg I love this
Low trousers, mini skirts, glitter, Britney is free… oops we did it again
All I see is Paris Hilton in the 2000’s 😍😍😍😍
Agree with all except for fringe
I’m getting a very 70s meets 90s vibe. Very Cher and Paris Hilton.
Burberry has me losing my mind 🔥
Sheer will never be out of style for me.
Some of the 70's and 00's inso for SURE.
Late 90’s yearly 2000’s trends 💗
I like the dresses over pants 👖
Wow I don’t think there has ever been a fashion trend year I have hated more than this one 😂🤮
Perfect video, perfect clothes 🙂👍🇬🇷

Low rise is back!!!
I love it when the models look angry about what they are being made to wear that day.
It is best thank you x
Crochet making a comeback will be interesting for small creators
Fast fashion brands are going to keep stealing small designer’s patterns and people won’t be willing to pay the actual price for a crochet item which takes a lot of time and can only be handmade because they can get it way cheaper from these stores with horrible work environments or those that use machines to mass produce😮💨
Back to the early 2000s 😎👌🏻
I know I'm old when I can look at Paco Rabanne patterns and wonder what happened to that kitchen I once knew..; Aside from this - all that crochet I made over the past few years are in style and I am really loving many of these collections...

When I read dresses over pants, i immediately thought about rosie from bp 😆
Very beatifull.
It’s like all trends together. The old trends coming back. Makes me wonder what will be picked up more?
Dresses over pants… those of us who were teens in the 2000s call this “The Ashley Tisdale look.” And NGL, I didn’t see this one coming!
