@Rolando Roy Lol! I did no such thing. The pillars are still there. I just wrapped them in carbon fiber vinyl. You can buy it on line but don't get the cheap stuff. I'll add a link in the description.
You could mount a Lagun table base on the side of your wooden bed frame. A table could swivel in front of that back seat and swivel over the bed when you didn’t need it (or remove it and store it under the bed).
Great job! For me, I’d find a place for a small cassette toilet too, I have one and its absolutely a necessity, very easy to use and empty with absolutely zero smell. Love your blinds! Very custom.
It might be nice to have in an emergency. But I'm not usually that far off grid. There's pretty much always a truck stop near by. I'd rather use the space to store more Monster.

@@VantasticPacifica I got my Van. The seat in back was at a very strange slant and couldn’t get out very easy so it is gone. Then the bed was too big and so have a platform now. Can always buy a used Van for a great price. You can also take your time and build it to your standards. Let nothing stop you from doing what you want 💯
Awesome van. Minor suggestion, you should put a plastic splash guard behind your sink so your seats don't soaked. Maybe put it on a hinge so it folds down onto your sink and becomes a cutting board. Maybe my idea is unrealistic but who knows, thought I'd share lol.
@@VantasticPacifica I was thinking that you could attach a cutting board with a piano hinge to the rear hatch side of the sink top and two drop-leaf table supports to the sink legs. That cutting board would pop up to give you additional work space, maybe to use with a single burner butane/propane cooktop that just might store next to that basket.

It's a pleasant change to see a new vehicle modded into a campervan. Most of them are 10-20 years old. I like the rug! Hardly anyone carpets their vans.
Sometimes I wish I had an older van so I can drill holes and make permanent mods. It would just be a lot easier to work with. And I'm not exited about my $800 monthly payments. I guess if I wait long enough, I'll get my wish. In the mean time, no shoes allowed on my carpet. I always leave them in the driver's foot well and climb between the seats.
Dude, those blinds! Best window coverings I have ever seen for car camping! I thought the curtain system in my Buick Encore was cool, but this is next level!!! Great build, I love the creativity.
Awesome easy conversion, just the necessary (good looking car, good sleep and cold beer) Really clean and not too much of everything.. You don't need to build in a restaurant kitchen, 5 battery, 5sqm solar etc.. This build is just wow..!! Thanks for sharing 😎👍 **Chris from Sweden**
I don't know if anybody has said this but I think you should put Black Marble Contact Paper around that sink! You could even do the wood trim underneath the sink? It's so easy to do and It would look so much better with that stealth van of yours! You did a perfect job! I'm so impressed with the window blinds and everything you have done! Now I want to do this! :D
Thank you! What I like about them is they can be operated with one hand. There's nothing to roll up, snap, tie up or Velcro. And all without being permanently attached to the car and anyway. They are not easy to make but I'll put out a video soon showing how I did it. If anyone wants to give it a try or improve the design, feel free.
Thank you! It was a struggle and I hope to not have to do it again. But I am working on a new design I hope will be simpler, cheaper and easier to make. I'm sure I'll make a video about it.
Thank you very much! To answer your question, I don't do much camping. I created this vehicle with road trips in mind. I like to drive around the country and go home so I have no real need for a toilet or a stove. I'll never be too far from a Chipotle or Panda Express or KFC.
I agree re blinds! Covering my windows has been such a pain. The layout is quite similar to mine, but your back organization has inspired me to reconfigure mine. Thanks!
Duct tape and pantyhose (emergency belt replacement) need to be added and maybe packing tape and a rope and some clothes pins for a clothes line. I’d also invest in netting to keep insects out
Through a cigarette outlet next to the sink. I'm just using the starter battery. But the fridge barely sips power and will shut off completely if the battery drops below a preset voltage. If I never start the car, this would take a week. But there's never a day I don't start the car.
@@VantasticPacifica Cool. (Pun intended. ) Have heard a few times now that the fridge uses the same amount of power as one headlight left on... Nice to hear you don't have any issues re: power. Want to get a Dometic, but that was my concern. Might run a 2nd battery anyway for boondock camping. 👍✌🇨🇦
@@SpiritoftheWoods863 There is a chance it'll use more power when the weather warms up but for now I just leave it on even at home. It's been running in the back of my car for 3 weeks. But I do drive it almost every day.
I believe the little bump outs in the rear (under the right front sink corner and also under the fridge on the left side) are made to support 4x8 sheets of plywood to keep them level and stable.
Definitely love the blinds. This build is as close to mine than any I've seen. A Video on how you made the blinds would be awesome. Also wondering how often do you feel you use or need the sink? Wondering what else could put there that would be of better space usage? In my van it's all storage. I also keep my 3rd row passenger seat up and call it the living room. For dishes or washing hand ..or a quick sponge bath, I just use a 5 gallon portable with a spout that I use outside. Water inside for drinking is gallon refills using my own bottles. I love finding free natural spring water at public springs where I fill all my jugs.
Of course, the importance of the sink is going to vary depending on how you use your camper van. I tend to stick to the pavement so I'm never short on rest stops and truck stops. It's not particularly inconvenient for me to be near running water when it's time to wash my hands or brush my teeth. So I could definitely get by without the sink. But my mission is to have as many comforts of home as I can without having to set foot outside the van. I don’t even want to get out to go from the driver seat to the back. But also, I don't need much storage space since I'm never gone for more than a week or two. And I don't cook so I don’t need to save room for a stove, propane, pots/pans, etc. Thank you for the great question! As far as making a video on how I made the blinds, you're in luck! I've already made one… czcams.com/video/dOX3RtJd5us/video.html And recently, I've modified my camper configuration. Now the sink is doing double duty as an entertainment center. I would love to get your thoughts on it if you get some time… czcams.com/video/6KolJYlFnZ0/video.html
Nice organized layout. The only thing that worries me a little is the emptying/filling of the water. But I think it is pretty cool to have the water at the lowest level so it's not too heavy to lift up.
I came across your channel while searching for videos on Mini Van conversions as I have a 2014 Town & Country. As I listened to you I thought you sounded so much like my nephew who lives in Hobart. I watched all of your videos in one sitting and in one you state you're going from Portage to Portland. So that WAS a mid West accent I was hearing, and truly you sound just like my nephew! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos and look forward to more! You have a wonderful sense of humor and a great voice for CZcams!
Thank you so much for the great comments! I can't tell you how encouraging it is to hear someone say they watched all of your videos in one sitting. I'm so glad you like them and I definitely look forward to making more. It's also weird to hear that I have an accent. I guess I'm like everyone else and I think it's only other people who have accents. LOL! But Hobart Indiana is right next door and it's not a very big place. I wouldn't be overly shocked if I met your nephew. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
I’m only 3 videos in and a subscriber already. Outstanding build. Those blinds are epic. It’s very obvious in your work that aesthetics and functionality are equally important. You’ve given me so many great ideas for my new Pacifica that will be an extended road tripper, but not a camper. Thanks
Thanks for the sub! I'm glad I could help with some ideas. But to be sure, I set out to build what I called the ultimate roadtrip machine, not a camper. Everything in the build can be accessed without having to get out of the car. I never plan to sit anywhere for more than a day and when people ask where I keep the toilet, I say Flying J or Love's. Lol! But I have to use the word "camper" becuase the CZcams algorithm likes it. 😁
Nice work! Pacificas don't interest me. But I had a feeling that what you'd show is a modular setup that can work in other vehicles, too. This video did not disappoint. I'm definitely saving this for reference on a future project. My only suggestion is to add an Amazon link to the Dometic reefer, if you have one. Take Care!
Thank you very much! And definately would love to include a link for the fridge but it's no longer available on Amazon. And I don't see it on the Dometic website either. Very disappointing. It's an awesome fridge.
Very nice! The Pacifica is a very nice minivan and drive. Love the S Package and with what looks like a trailer hitch, if more camping room is needed all you need to do is get any of the light teardrop campers, or small travel trailers! Good luck have fun and stay safe and healthy! I’ve always toyed with the idea of a van, ever since I owned a Chevy Express I bought new in 2005, for a business endeavor that didn’t quite work. But the van was great to drive. But I have a very adventurous spirit and if I ever were to do a camper/van, mine would have to be 4x4, with a slight lift of an inch or two. For the prices of the new vans the new Chevy Express is a great deal! Heck you can even get a powerful economical diesel, as GM only makes them in 2500 now. But to start with a passenger 2500 Chevy Diesel, with 4x4 conversion a price range of around 45k is possible as a start, that half the price of the new Mercedes diesel 4x4! With a lot more capacity for load and towing!
This is one of my favorite van set ups. I really appreciate how simple it is and still provides for all your needs. I would just add some type of toilet for emergencies. One you tuber suggested a folding stool and just cut out the middle for a bag. It will fold out of the way when not in use. Use duck tape around cut fabric.
I know, right?! I couldn't wait for going on trips to use it so I use it in the house just to keep Monster and Pepsi cold. This is made easy because it has two cords; one for the house and one for the car.

You made that van sweet as hell. I think you should Patent the blinds and sell them .👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks! I plan to do a video showing how I made them so anyone can make them. Maybe someone will improve on the design.
@@VantasticPacifica Yes! would really appreciate knowing how you constructed and attached blind frame. Also, how you installed bed frame. Thank you!
@@jtwanderer6328 A video on the blinds will be posted soon. But the bed frame is not attached to the car. It just fits really well.
Amazing mini blinds
And amazing van! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I would totally buy those custom blinds
I would have bought them too if somebody were selling them. I did not want to make them myself.
This is a great multi use camper van, which is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful. I hope to have version 3 out this week so don't forget to subscribe.
I'm impressed seriously
Really? Thank you so much for that. It's very encouraging.
Dude, those blinds! Best window coverings I have ever seen for car camping! I thought the curtain system in my Buick Encore was cool, but this is next level!!! Great build, I love the creativity.
Wow, thanks!😁
LOVE those blinds!
Me too.
I really like your set up; Especially the blinds.
Thank you! Have you seen version 3?
Awesome updates and awesome video!!!
Thanks! Show it to the boys.
those blinds are money ....so many ppl would pay for that new subscriber as well love your ideas sir
Thank you!
really amazing blinds, maybe you can have them patterned ,brilliant really, Ive never seen that and Ive watched tons of these van builds
Thank you so much. I expect to make a video on how I made them soon.
@@VantasticPacifica well when I do get my mini van this is a keeper thanx so much
Thank you so much! I saw a vid where a company has a similar design. But it's only for Westfalia vans. Those are too easy to customize.
@@karenkazjefreys2913 What kinda van you gonna get?
cleanest mini van build for sure
Oh, wow. Thank you!
New Sub, we are converting our Grand Caravan into a weekend escape camper too! Love watching and getting ideas Thank You for sharing! - Bill :)
Awesome! Thank you! I look forward to your vids!
Awesome easy conversion, just the necessary (good looking car, good sleep and cold beer)
Really clean and not too much of everything..
You don't need to build in a restaurant kitchen, 5 battery, 5sqm solar etc..
This build is just wow..!!
Thanks for sharing 😎👍
**Chris from Sweden**
Thanks Chris! Glad you like it! I like to keep it simple. Ver. 3.0 should be available soon.
Great editing! Good job!
Thank you! There's still plenty room for improvement but I'm learning.
you sir have a very sweet ride. For a family mover it is tops and a travel van bonus. well done .
Thank you, Mo! It's a super versatile vehicle!
Nifty stuff dude. Great job!
Appreciate it!
Thank you so much for the compliments. I'm not sure how I feel about the black marble contact paper but definitely keep the ideas coming! :-)
You know, you might have a market for those blinds with people living full time in their vehicles...just an idea.
@@VantasticPacifica Shutup and take my money!

That is one of the coolest minivan set ups I have seen! Very good use of space! Those mini blinds are awesome!
Glad you like them!
I need those blinds in my life. Could you custom make them for a 2004 Toyota Sienna?
You did a really fantastic job!
Thank you! It was a struggle and I hope to not have to do it again. But I am working on a new design I hope will be simpler, cheaper and easier to make. I'm sure I'll make a video about it.
Again a great job. All these you tube van builds I see make mine look ordinary lol
Haha! Thanks again, Moon Buggy!
Very nice build! Great job! Happy and Safe Trails.
Quick questions: No camp stove or toilet? Bet u can make them fit depending on the model.
Thank you very much! To answer your question, I don't do much camping. I created this vehicle with road trips in mind. I like to drive around the country and go home so I have no real need for a toilet or a stove. I'll never be too far from a Chipotle or Panda Express or KFC.
Very nice set up and those frames with the blinds amazing.
Thanks so much!
Would love a how to vid on those blinds
Okay, I'll see what I can do.
I agree re blinds! Covering my windows has been such a pain. The layout is quite similar to mine, but your back organization has inspired me to reconfigure mine. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the kind words. It really does keep me going.
Duct tape and pantyhose (emergency belt replacement) need to be added and maybe packing tape and a rope and some clothes pins for a clothes line. I’d also invest in netting to keep insects out
So I took your advice... I went to the store to buy some duct tape, rope and pantyhose. The cashier called the police.
Vantastic Pacifica did I tell you to buy it all in one place lol
@@nadinesawtell3267 hahaha!
@@VantasticPacifica lmaoooooooo
My gosh you did a great job on your build.. Love the sink and the blinds...
Thanks so much! 😊
How do you power your fridge?
That makes sense. I'll have to get some plywood and try it out.
Blackout blinds are great, far to many "erm's"
I know, I know. I've been working on that. I was nervous! Lol!
Really nice build...love the shades...enjoy!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very clean, neat, organized, logical. 👍👍
Thanks! 👍
I've already made one…
czcams.com/video/dOX3RtJd5us/video.html
And recently, I've modified my camper configuration. Now the sink is doing double duty as an entertainment center. I would love to get your thoughts on it if you get some time…
czcams.com/video/6KolJYlFnZ0/video.html
Nice organized layout. The only thing that worries me a little is the emptying/filling of the water. But I think it is pretty cool to have the water at the lowest level so it's not too heavy to lift up.
Agreed. I don't think I've ever filled them all the way up. I was worried about splashing even though that has never been an issue.
The trail mix!! Love it! Just what I like to eat on trips 😊
So good!
Brilliant build. Those blinds 👍👌
Thank you! Have you seen the new one? czcams.com/video/6KolJYlFnZ0/video.html
Wow best window shades ever. !!💕
I agree. Although, I learned recently you can't leave them in direct sunlight on 90 degree days with the windows rolled up. Lol!
I'm from Merrillville, I love Hobart. Live in AZ now though, I visit every year. I have a 2018 Pacifica limited. Its awesome.

Hands down the most stylish camper van to date without breaking the bank. Very modish but no solar or need for it.
Solar would be nice but so far, I don't need it. I never hold still long enough to wear down my battery.

Wow! You are really handy! I subscribed because I love your dead-pan humor!
Yay, thank you!
I appreciate the video of your build. Lots of very nice comments.
Thank you! The comments have been very encouraging.
Good eye. It's is indeed a trailer hitch. I made sure this thing came with every possible option. The tow package also includes a beefier radiator.
Good job on the sink and basement.... nice one....
Thanks!
Love the use of space! After building ours, I think small campervans are the most challenging. Great work!
It is a challenge but that's what makes it fun!
Haha, precisely! You should look into 8020 aluminum for your next build. Super adaptable. I'd love to see what you build with it!
@@GotMountains I researched that stuff and my mind went crazy with ideas! I may get a bigger van someday and I'll likely build everything with 80/20.
I like the folding chair idea.
I got that idea from SUV RVing channel’s video about a $20 toilet
@@monicawilson896 I subscribe to that channel. I'm surprised I haven't seen that video.
Your Shade system Rocks. I think the basement area is a great place for the water storage. Nice upgrades!
I think so too!
I love that fridge
I know, right?! I couldn't wait for going on trips to use it so I use it in the house just to keep Monster and Pepsi cold. This is made easy because it has two cords; one for the house and one for the car.
Excellent minimalist built
