It would be helpful to know the number of teeth on the gears you took out and then the number of teeth on the new gears you put in. There is no other way I can understand ratio changes unless I see the actual before and after to calculate the relative "CHANGE" which is most important to me.

Hello my friend, first of all take it easy. My suzuki is a 1.3 engine and I have difficulty going out on hills. I travel a lot on long roads and fields. How can I work with differential and transfer case gears without losing much speed? My differential rate is 3.90, my transfer case rate is 2.60 and my tires are 29.5 m/t

I used a online gear ratio calculator tool to determine the right gear ratio for my build. www.grimmjeeper.com/gears is what I used. It's a little confusing at first but it super helpful. Usually the transfer case is cheaper and easier to change the gear ratio, differential gears can be pretty pricey and almost impossible to do by yourself if you haven't already done a set before so you will have to pay a shop to do it which will be expensive as well. Good luck!
