2:59 - My Grandmom and I just finished Season One of Suits tonight and I’ve forever connected it with Sonic in my head because I was reading a recap of Worlds Collide when we started the show in March. One character initially makes money by taking the LSATs for people. Anyway, given Fiona’s brief time in the brain trust do you think she’d like taking standardized tests for people? Would she be good at it?
4:04 - My birthday is comin up in june and it has me thinkin.. What kind of gift givers are the Sonic cast? Who gives the best presents and who shows up for the cake and tacos?
7:22 - Seeing how Shadow is basically a darker/edgier counterpart to Sonic, what would an Infinite counterpart be like in the same vein? Would they be even MORE edgy than Infinite? Is it even possible? Would it loop back around to the complete tonal opposite? WE MUST KNOW IAN!
8:06 - Does the Warp Topaz account for changes in atmospheric pressure and flows of time? For example, if someone went through a portal from a spaceship and on the other side was an underwater base, what would happen to them? What would happen to the atmosphere with the portal open? We’ve seen water rush through a portal, so what are the limitations? And if time moved at a different pace on one side of the portal and someone kept their arm in it, would their arm age differently? Would the speed of the blood flow change in the arm only? I’m assuming this is a case of “don’t think about it too hard”, but I thought it was interesting to bring up as something to think about.
9:25 - Have the mandates for the IDW comics ever gotten stricter since the series became canon to the games? I'm asking this because I've heard some fans worry about how IDW Sonic being canon could possibly mean that the current comic stories won't be able to be as big and grandiose as the Metal Virus arc and would instead have to play things safe in order to avoid interfering with anything going on in the games' narrative. What are your thoughts on this concern?

B: is fresh from the failure of trying to reason with himself on even ground.

30:38 - In Mobius 25 years later we see that King Shadow has established a religion around Maria. I struggle to see how building a religion around his dead friend helps him out in the slightest, if anything I would think Maria would be a sore spot for him. Even stranger is that Sonic seems to follow this religion. Why does Shadow make the Church of Maria and why does Sonic evoke her name while mourning his children?
32:36 - Random curiosity. Big is bigger but sedentary. Eggman, however, must do a lot of exercise to pull off his physical feats, but still manages to be egg shaped. That takes a lot of calories. Which do the local all you can eat restaurants fear the most?
33:53 - It's common in platformers like Sonic to not include falling damage as a game mechanic. But characters have survived high falls in cutscenes too. Sonic's fallen from the Egg Carrier and landed on his face, twice, and even Eggman has dropped from Lost Hex to the ground and only wound up a bit dirty. Seems like only falling from orbit has any risk, and Sonic and Shadow still keep doing it and avoid death anyway. So does falling damage not exist in-story as well, or at least is extremely muted?

Question: If you were to include a fourth character "type" beyond Speed, Flight, and Power that would encompass Amy's moveset-- I think super jump, melee attack, ranged attack and stealth-- what would you call this type? What characters do you think would fit this new "type"? Espio, Cream, Sticks, Fang and either Silver or Blaze seem like possibilities. But who would you cast as the fourth member of Team Dark, Team Chaotix, Babylon Rogues and whatever Blaze & Silver's team is so we can have teams of 4 rather than 3?
I may not be Ian Flynn, but this question made me think, and I came up with some answers.
For the fourth type to accompany Speed, Flight, and Power, if we go by Chao stats--which include Run, Fly, and Power--there's also Swim and Stamina. Swim seems to overlap a lot with Fly, though, as many characters that can fly can also swim so that their gameplay doesn't differ much between being above water or underwater (though, to be fair, there are some characters I can imagine being very good at swimming that flat-out cannot fly, such as Marine the Raccoon). Stamina also seems like it would overlap a lot with Power, as those who are physically fit should be capable of taking some hits, too. So, not much is gained from this comparison.
All in all, the fourth type should probably reflect someone who can do many things but doesn't excel at any particular one of them, and mostly functions to patch in the weaknesses of the already established team so they can do something in almost any situation--a Swiss army knife, if you will. I think the best name for this type would be "Utility."
As for what characters fit the bill of "Utility," anyone with the capacity for stealth seems like a shoe-in. Ranged attacks are also a bit of a rarity, so I agree with you there as well. Espio is a natural fit, though I suppose he'd have to be retooled to have less speed to balance it out. Which brings me to the part about team compositions...
Team Chaotix would need someone to fill in Espio's previous slot of Speed, and I honestly don't know who that would be. The go-to answer would probably be Mighty, but he's clearly depicted as more of a Power character, plus he's so commonly seen as partners with Ray nowadays that it would feel weird to split them up. Maybe in some odd instance that Metal Sonic gets reprogrammed to be a good guy, he'd join Team Chaotix?? Other than that, all I can think of is delving into unused concepts, like the Sonic the Hedgehog Band that Vector was a part of. Maybe the rabbit could work.
As for Team Dark, the current members cover so many bases already that the only places in which I think they can be improved are in precise, long-ranged marksmanship, and in acting friendly to get information without the need for intimidation (sure, Rouge might be able to handle that last part, but it's hard for her to act friendly without coming off at least a little suspicious). Fang would be an easy fit for the marksmanship part, assuming he's allowed to utilize the "sniper" part of his old alias (and also I guess he'd have to upgrade from using corks as bullets to fit in with the more realistic modern setting), and story-wise, it might make sense if he was captured by GUN and given a mission to complete to make sure he could be rehabilitated, and Team Dark was assigned to watch over him. As for a character to act as a friendly face who would also work with GUN, your guess is as good as mine.
The Babylon Rogues... Well, the fourth member would have to be a bird, right? There aren't many bird characters out there--Bean the Dynamite and Speedy from Tails Adventure are the only possibilities that come to mind, and they're both green like Jet, and I think there's an unspoken rule that characters in a team can't overlap in terms of body color. If we consider non-bird characters, Fang, again, might fit in, but, again, the body color thing...and we have Wave, so, yeah... Weirdly enough, Sticks might be the best bet as the one who would bring the most to the table while somewhat working story-wise... I can picture the Rogues accidentally picking her up somewhere and she ends up just sticking around; if her anti-government conspiracy theorist side is kept intact from the Boom continuity, she might actually empathize with the Rogues. Then again, she's apparently already friends with Amy in the mainline continuity, so who knows?
Silver and Blaze... Well, they'd need a third member first, and that means sorting Blaze and Silver into their own slots. As much of an all-around character as Blaze is, she doesn't have much in the way of ranged attacks, and stealth isn't really her thing. Between Speed and Power, I think Blaze edges out in Speed--the reverse of Mighty, come to think of it. Silver could work as either a Flight type or a Utility type, which means the only slot left of the original three is Power. Mighty could fill in for that, which means Ray would fill in for Flight, making Silver Utility. Alternatively, Bean and Bark join Silver and Blaze as Utility and Power, respectively. Why would they team up? I don't know, go crazy.

Honestly IDW being canon is very exciting to me.
I was worried at first but as soon i saw that the comics respected characters much better than some games, I immediately accepted it.

With the revelation that the year of the Ark is ambiguous, should Shadow use slang from multiple decades and centuries like that one tumblr post, "Poppycock, I bite my thumb at thee, so hasta-la-vista, daddy-o boomer"? If so, how does the Sonic cast react to Shadow's anachronistic vocabulary? Does Rouge cringe or enable it?

my headcanon about shadow gneder is he is male BUT he is sterile because he is a hybrid of two different creatures, in nature is very common sterile hybrids, specially males, when this happens theres two types of sterile, 1 is the malformation of the reprotuctive organs, 2 the lack of gamete producton

I know this a question but if i had to answer it. Probably not. Introducing bunnie and sally as estsblish character would open the flood gates of satam and archie. Especially since some fans would want things to return to the archie days and archie writing and archie event especially since comics are canon to the game it make things convoluted as theyd hsve to tie so many events and side events to the games which would be a nightmare. Sega and idw probably dont mind archie characters being a cameo characters that are in the background or dont really have a role to play in the sonic narrative kind like honey the cat pre archie comics but in terms of being establish main or side characters i doubt it. It would cost too much chaos amongst the fans and story.
From my last question would Ray be added as new playable character in Knuckles Chaotix 2 - 3 and would you still use Eggman as a villain or change to Fang or Heavy King?
If you adapted Star Fox into a Comic book will you create characters for the adaptation?
