    James Harden once again has demanded a trade. This time the Sixers have a ton of leverage and this will not end well for the Beard. This is a look at why this time is different and what happens next.

    As a big fan of the 2015-16 OKC Thunder, it really bums me out when my favorite big 3 continue to act like they haven't had any loyalty for a team since then. Westbrook is the only one giving his all on the court every game it seems, but watching KD and Harden bounce around willingly from team to team really takes away from their work ethic/commitment. In a perfect world they would all have an amazing career with tons of success, but these guys are masters at burning bridges at this point.

    Most of the comments are weird, Harden's not a max player anymore but the 76ers front office shouldn't make promises like that either if they don't intend to keep them. Now they have to trade Harden or risk him walking for nothing, next year. Depending on the return they get in a Harden trade, it could push Embiid to want out as well. So they'll could be restarting the process all over again because they didn't want to give Harden a 2 year max deal.

      I was shocked at how few comments mentioned this! I never get why people take such glee in a company doing someone over, whether it's an employee, customer, or other. They lied. The end. I'm not even trying to defend Harden's play. IMO, they made an agreement then broke it. Unless winning the conference finals was a stipulation, he lived up to his side of the bargain and should get the proper compensation.

      They offered him 50mil for three years and it was a big part of this. Brunson wanted to stay with Luka but Cuban pulled another Nash (didnt resign him right before he won two MVPs.) move and lowballed him. So he didn't leave at first chance, he wanted that deal but Mavs balked. Everything after is a different story because he had a career defining season and now had choices and suitors. Brunson dad being a Knicks assistant and having relationships with Knicks management helped convince him. But the blame for this goes with Dallas.

  • @lemmysixx
    @lemmysixx Před 10 měsíci +5

    It's not just a matter of difficult conditions or something, European players don't do things like this because they grew up with the tradition of club cults, fanatical attitude towards the club and incredible love for them. This is normal in all of Europe, players grow up in such an environment and therefore understand the concept of loyalty and responsibility. All his life, Jokic was surrounded by the rivalry between Red Star and Partizan, Janis with the rivalry between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos, Doncic felt what the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona meant... that simply does not exist in America. European players grow up in a fanatical fan environment and fanatical loyalty to the club, and because of this the concept of constantly changing clubs is foreign to them. Although, maybe that will change with newer generations.

    • @LeRoi33073
      @LeRoi33073 Před 10 měsíci +1

      Not playoff proven? The only reason Embiid/Sixers didn't make it to the Finals is because Kawai Leonard hit a lucky shot. In other years was left hanging by Ben Simmons and then Harden.

    • @kuhieyei3855
      @kuhieyei3855 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@LeRoi33073lol jimmy butler was there stop it casual. Harden also won 2 games in the 2nd round by himself, while Embiid chose to choke all series. He not that guy. Also its Jimmy/Sixers who almost made the finals if not for Kawhi, not Embiid/Sixers, he not the leader of that team, u delusional.

    • @LeRoi33073
      @LeRoi33073 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @kuhieyei3855 When Butler was on the Sixers, he clearly was the leader, but the two played well together, which is why the Sixers went far. Harden has shown his tendencies on 3 different playoff clubs, so we already know how that plays out, and because of that, they don't mesh well.
      As far as the Knicks, I didn't say anything about making Embiid the leader. The Knicks already have one in Brunson (he clearly proved himself last year, especially during the playoffs), and the two are a perfect fit together as far as how they play the game. Plus, Embiid's a HUGE improvement over Randle both on the floor and in the locker room.
      Thibs is a great defensive coach, but anything outside of that he really sucks. He thrives on players who can score for themselves while everyone stands around waiting to shoot a 3. An Embiid/Brunson match-up would work well because of the space they create on the floor because their game has to be respected. Randle has already shown that he doesn't show up or can be neutralized in the playoffs.
      See, you just proved yourself to be the delusional casual because you're looking for the big splash as everyone else does, whereas I'm merely looking at the productive piece that fits due to how they play.

      @@LeRoi33073 well you still delusional AF cause I never said anything about Embiid to the Knicks, I do also think he fits well there, so like 70% of your essay already doesnt make sense. I was debunking your comment that implies Embiid is indeed playoff proven when he's really not, and I presented you the reasons why. You also said it was the Embiid/Sixers, so I pointed out it was Jimmy/sixers. tf u sayin dawg HAHAHHA. Anyways Harden does choke a lot like you said, so does Embiid, he choked on nearly every postseason, and the one that you said he played well alongside Jimmy Butler, he damn averaged *20ppg* , by far the lowest in his playoff career, shooting 45% and 30% from three. If thats playing well for you, you should play Checkers instead.
      Edit:
      Im gonna believe you he playoff proven if he got out of the 2nd round, Harden atleast took the KD Warriors in the *WCF* to 7 games and would have won if he didnt pull an Embiid. Now they on the same team, when your 2 superstar players are the best chokers of the game, you aint goin anywhere.

  • @JKLauderdale
    @JKLauderdale Před 10 měsíci +3

    As to the latter part of the vid, keep in mind that Embiid ONLY started getting in actual shape after Doc Rivers came in as the coach. The REAL question isn't about Harden, he's screwed 12pts from North. We ALL saw Embiid quit last season in the playoffs, not even TRYING to play through his injury. Will Embiid REVERT to his prev habits or double down on off-season conditioning after YET ANOTHER early exit from the post-season?
    IOW: Did Doc Rivers FORCE Embiid into the physical monster he became or did he instill the habits that Embiid will now embrace for the length of his career... however long that may be with his injury issues?

    Crazy how people IGNORE that he took LESS money based on an AGREEMENT and they LIED and took advantage of him but the narrative isn't communicating that AT ALL just slander James based on his behavior with OTHER ORGANIZATIONS as if that factors in THIS ONE sixers did harden dirty and made him take less shots unless embiid was down for the count making harden look like he's regressed more than he truly has if they promised him that and he played a season at HALF his worth and they now MAGICALLY want to give him ONLY what's he's worth despite conversations than yes that's WILD that's like a guy telling a girl who's waiting for marriage that he's going to marry her and gets engaged does the dirty deed the day before the wedding and the day of the wedding he breaks up with her NOONE is going to say "well she should have made him wait" EVERYONE is going to say "wow he found a virgin in today's society and immediately took advantage of her he's wrong for that ?"
