Very interesting. Is this the same switch that is the dial on the front which clicks to the next stage in the program? I have a Zanussi which I have had for twenty years. They told me it was a machine for life. Well I'm still alive so was wondering if it can be fixed as this is the only thing wrong with it. I can use the machine but I have to be there to click the knob onto the next stage and if it's on a two hour cycle hanging around to move a switch is like watching paint dry. I have another machine which is a bush circa 2018. It was only used for a year and then I put it in storage. The drum has stopped turning so I think it is a belt issue. It starts and after five minutes it shorts out. Could that be because the drum isn't turning. Neither of the drums of the above machines have dropped. I've tested them. They both can go through the stages of the cycle and both drain and empty without issue.
