  • There is inherent risk in wildland fire fighting, and accidents or injuries can happen at initial attack. Your crew members and other agency fire fighters may have to depend on you to make life saving decisions if an accident occurs. Understanding and practicing the "8-Line" Incident Medial Response will make the difference in getting an injured firefighter to the advanced medical care they need.
One of the most important things an initial attack fire crew can do is to be prepared for successfully managing a medical emergency on a wildfire.
This video will help prepare you to manage such an emergency, and it is designed to be a starting point for training, discussion, & practice.
Talk to your supervisor about setting up practice incidents & training often!
