Oh man you tossed the best fish you caught back! Choupic is so good. My tip is keep it alive till your grease is hot and you ready to batter and fry. Filet it and cut into small strips or 1 inch chunks. wash with ice water, rinse, season, hot sauce and some flour and corn meal batter. 🤌
I don't remember ever having to fish for crappie IN the brush. We always fished next to the brush, or in deep water, straight line a minnow above the brush. Crappie love to hide in brush and then ambush their meal. Works both ways I suppose.
Jared, I will be here watchin' whenever you put out a video. And, good on you we need more men in this world that will step up and care for they children!
I remember the chupic now, they are the ones you have to keep alive until you eat them . Then they are good eatin👍. That was a good time, sorry you didn't get as many but,you were fishing with an Ace👍.
The worm aficionados will tell folks to hook the worm once, thread barely enough worm to cover the shanks. The most natural presentation. I lost too many worms with that method. The worst presentation is to hook the worm 17 times and create a worm ball. I think the secret sauce is just finding the balance that works for you. I hook mine three times and leave about half to dangle. Whatever puts fish in the champagne basket.
Right after XMAS is over each year, the crappie guides collect all the XMAS trees being tossed out, load them on the boats and drop them in the lake to create their own "secret structure". (common in Texas reservoir's anyways)
Thread the worm 🪱 with hook right through starting at one end . That way when the fish 🐟 bite they slide the worm up the shaft saving it. Sometimes it will go up the shaft and onto the line. Art San Antonio Texas
Hey I am a subscriber from Arkansas. Would you happen to know Chad and Jess Jordan from hook line and sinker. That is my nephew and his wife. I have been wanting to get down there for a visit with them. I just watched one of your video with Cole and Jay have not meet them yet but they live about a hour from us. But like all your videos so keep it up.

Why 2 hrs
Watch time adds up fast and earns more
Catching fish when they are reproducing is criminal and low
I'll pick me some bones on a Crappie any day, such good fish!
Amen
